I go to celebrity cupcakes on a regular basis but typicall during the day. I visted late saturday evening and got the worst customer service EVER. I wont be going back EVER. We got dirty looks and no hello or thank you although i gave both.I will spend my money elsewhere.

I love their cupcakes. The owner is quiet. She doesn't talk much but thats okay. She's probably not from Texas! :-)
I would say these cupcakes are delish! I love them better than the other famous cupcake place in Houston! Less dense and not as sweet. Similar to SugarBabys! The vanilla bean is the the one I tried. Its made from organic milk and local ingredients!!!

Funny to read the other posts on here, I went in about 2 weeks ago on a weekday afternoon after seeing their eye catching sign from the street. There was no friendly welcome from the woman or young man but I thought maybe they were just quiet, so I kind of silently perused the cakes. We texans like a warm ""howdy""!! I think that is what the other posters are referring to, but no one was rude. Shop was spotless and I tried the vanilla bean and carrot cake cupcakes.....heavenly!! The vanilla bean was so subtle, such a delicate icing with tiny little sugar crystals shimmering on the top. Best cupcake I have ever tasted. The appearance of the cupcakes is so delectable, you want to try them all! My husband scarfed them also.
I decided to order a dozen for a party, and this visit I was met by a friendly gentleman (owner?) that was eager to help. Cant wait till my guests taste these. If you want to treat yourself and laugh at how excited you are when you see these cupcakes, make a visit.

rude and condescending to me when I asked if she had strawberry cupcakes left. it was late afternoon and she snapped back at me and said ""we don't make them today, we only have strawberry cupcakes on certain days!"" then i asked ""do you only have them on monday, wednesday and fridays?"" she was irratated that I would ask what days she has them. She snapped again...""""we're not open on mondays..!""
sorry I have not memorized the cupcake flavor schedule. my wife and I will not be returning.

I am a sucker for cupcakes and an even bigger sucker for all things shiny and pretty. So when a friend brought to me a Celebrity Cupcake to taste, I was hooked. i had the perfect excuse to buy a dozen this weekend and called Friday to place my order. The woman (who I now know is one of the owners) was abrupt and cut me off every time I opened my mouth. To the point that I thought something urgent must be happening and suggested that I call back when she wasn't so busy. She said she just ""talks fast."" Right. Placed my order. At the end, she apologized in that way that is even worse than had she just not said anything; flat voiced, zero meaning. That night I received a random voicemail from a man (who I now know is her husband); he asked me to call his cell. My gut tells me he was calling to apologize for his wife's rude behavior, but my returned calls went straight to voicemail. Fast forward to Sunday morning. Cupcake joints are supposed to be happy and fluffy and all clouds and rainbows. I walked in and just wanted to take it all in for a minute. But owner lady was at the counter, with nary a smile or hello. She pointed to the cupcakes and told me they were paid for and I was done. I'd planned to purchase a few extras for my husband but decided I just wanted to get out of there.
I understand that the deliciousness of a cupcake (or anything else) might circumvent a less than friendly owner/phone order taker/counter person. I would also like to note that I spent 6 years of my life living in NY, working for a French fashion company that sadly fits all the stereotypes. Clearly I do not need warm and fuzzy. I do NOT, however, need to fork over forty bucks to someone that deserves every foul label in the dictionary.
Cupcakes are a dime a dozen, especially as of the last 5 years. Despite how pretty and delicious they are, there is no way I'm stepping my foot back in that place.
UPDATE: HUSBAND OWNER IS NOW SENDING ME RUDE EMAILS AND COPYING HIS WIFE. I POSTED AN HONEST (AND NICER THAN I WOULD'VE LIKED) REVIEW AS THIS IS A FORUM FOR SUCH. I THINK IT COMPLETELY INAPPROPRIATE FOR THE STORE OWNERS TO EMAIL ME, CHASTISING ME FOR POSTING MY HONEST OPINON. LAME.

I've tried Crave Cupcakes a couple of times, and always leave disappointed. I was excited to try out Celebrity Cupcakes because of the location (closer to my house) and because, well, I like tasty treats. The first visit, they were busy putting an order together for a wedding. No hello, welcome...nothing. The energy in the place was terrible. No music, employees had their heads down, and the manager was bla. She said they were not usually like this, but it was a crazy day. I wanted to remind her of the ""ducks on water"" saying. It might be crazy, but look/act like you are in control and glad to have customers. Second visit, I had my toddler (in my arms) and I was picking up a large order for an event. The employee didn't even offer to help with the door, much less help me o the car. A customer saw me and jumped up to help! Anyway, cupcakes are very moist and yummy. Just ""pay no attention to the man behind the curtain"" and enjoy the cupcake.

A bunch of us mommies went to Celebrity Cupcakes and we all agreed that the cupcakes were yummy. Lemon was considered the best.
The cupcakes are moist and have the right amount of frosting and aren't tooth numbbingly sweet. The cupcakes are better than what you find in the grocery store but I'm not sure they are worth 3.25 each!
The store is nice looking but there is no place to sit which is a bit of a bummer. If ther weather is nice you can sit outside but there are only two tables and four chairs.
The customer service is okay nothing special and since they ask so much for the cupcakes you would think they could be a bit nicer.
It is a worthwhile splurge but they need more seating and better customer service.

I walked in yesterday as a first-time customer with my celebrity shades on and ready to celebrate my birthday. I was not greeted with a smile, but that's okay it was my birthday...and it was gorgeous outside.
They had about 10 similar flavors on display, and the cupcakes looked perfect. I asked for a sample of the cupcake to make sure it wasn't too muffin-like...the counter helper said that they don't do samples. I enthusiastically asked if they did anything special for birthdays. She said with a non-expressive face that they give plain white candles away...that's all.
One of the counter helpers finally wished me a happy birthday with no sincerity or smile after I purchased a dozen of the adorable smurf blue, red velvet cupcakes with a dainty heart on the top. A dozen of these cuties will run you $38 with tax. I also had to ask for a ribbon around the box too, like the one displayed in the window. You see, I wanted to make a proud impression of the special cupcakes at the party.
At the party, guests said the red velvet cupcakes had great cream cheese icing, but the red-velvet cake was plain.
One of my friends, who is a gourmet foodie and travels the world, told me that she will never return to Celebrity Cupcakes. She said they messed up on an order of cupcakes in February, and they told her to re-ice the cupcakes herself!
I told her about my lackluster consumer experience there and told her that I was taking the poor customer service personally. Now, I know it was just a matter of them treating people like they are from Hollyweird vs. Hollywood.
My suggestion: Their staff needs to take acting lessons on customer service. In a city of cupcake showdowns, customer service should not just be the icing on the cake.

So I don't ever take the time to write reviews on here but today I feel the need to. I am slightly obsessed with cupcakes and I have been to pretty much every cupcake boutique in Houston and many in LA and Miami too! I heard about Celebrity Cupcake the week they opened and I have been trying to go by there ever since! Today I did! My fiance and I pulled into the parking lot (the location is beautiful btw) and they appeared to be closing, a woman (who I later on discovered was the owner) came outside and said they were closing but they had some banana cupcakes left. I of course decided to buy whatever they had left bc I figured they would be thrown out anyway since they were closing for the day and my kiddos would probably eat them if I didn't. The owners are super nice and just that made me want to support their business. This was all before I even tried their cupcakes! Now like I said I only had the banana but if its any indication of how the other flavors taste, I might be in love!! hehe! The cake was really moist and the banana flavor was just right, not too over powering like some I've had. The frosting was the highlight though! It was a cream cheese frosting and it was so creamy and fluffy I could eat it all by itself and be happy! I can't wait to go back and try the other flavors!! Ohhh and they decorate their cupcakes super cute too!! Also my fiance even liked their cupcakes and he is NOT a cupcake person and I watched him finish off 2 of them! I think everyone should check out Celebrity Cupcake! They are my new fave!
