The facility is pretty standard for pediatric dentistry. But that is about the best thing to be said about this place. Impatient doctor and nurse - there is one nurse who is just rude and mean towards kids. (If you don't like kids, you should not be working there.) She just can't wait to rush you out. Making money is clearly the goal. They will not warn you about crazy charges insurance does not cover. ("Let's do the procedure on the kid first and the parents have to pay since they signed papers.") The office manager pretends to be nice. Once you raise the issue about full disclosure regarding the charges upfront, she turns into something else. Avoid this place like plague.

My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Cammarata for years. I like the way she spends time talking to each family about their kid's teeth. The staff is truly awesome and they work hard to provide good customer service. It's almost time for my daughter to move on to a general dentist and I hope I can find someone as good as Dr. Cammarata.

My nearly two-year-old son chipped a couple of teeth, and I took him to Dr. Cammarata on the suggestion of a friend. When I called to make an appointment, they got me in to see the dentist in one hour!
I was quite concerned about him not being able to sit still or put up with them looking in his mouth. However, they were amazing with him and let him run around and look at the fish and play with toys between seeing the hygienist and the dentist. They were very calm and patient with him, and I couldn't believe how smoothly it all went.
We will definitely be going back to them next time!

We have been to see Dr. Cammarata for a couple of years now. I have two boys that are 18 months apart. My eldest son just turned four years old and has always been very anxious and uncomfortable at the dentist. I have been thinking about switching dentists, because Dr. Cammarata has always seemed impatient when doing my oldest sons check-ups. Not to mention, she seems very rushed every time.
We just went again and my youngest son did fine. However, when she got to my oldest son, he refused to open his mouth. Dr. Cammarata's response to him was, ""Hey Dude, this is not going to hurt. Other four year olds can do this with no problem..."" All the while, you could tell she was losing her patience with him. She told us to stop talking to him, because he was getting too much information. However, when she couldn't get him to respond much better... she threw her hands up, took her gloves off and then went on to suggest that he must have some behavioral issues by asking if we had ever had him checked out for behavioral impairment.
I realize that our eldest son has some issues when it comes to going to the doctor, but the reason parents take them to pediatric dentists is because they want their children to feel comfortable. I just would expect a pediatric dentist to be more patient and understanding. Children can sense when a doctor is irritated and they typically do not respond well to this. We will be looking for a new pediatric dentist. We have seen her at least three times and it hasn't gotten better.
I would like to add that the waiting room is very nice and the rest of the staff is GREAT!!! My oldest son responded better to the dental assistants, but did not respond well to Dr. Cammarata. When we got home our son told us he was sad, because the doctor tried to choke him. I know this isn't the case, but you could tell she really wanted to.
She is probably fine for patients that our older, but I would not recommend her for younger children.
