Dr. Brassell is very sharp and her staff is also helpful. The frames are stylish and I am very happy with my new glasses and contacts. She honors VSP and I saved $$$ by having that plan. The office is very nice but keep in mind, this is not a ""Doc-in-a-Box"" superstore but a real eye doctor that owns their own practice. If you want shortcuts, this may not be the place for you. My wife and I are happy and have recommended friends as well.

Brassell Eye Care isn't a load of poppycock, they have taken care of my family year after year and I wouldn't trust them to any other. When you first walk through the door, you are surrounded by a warm scent of short bread cookies and a lovely environment that comforts the visit. The docor and staff never seem to be without smiles, and I have yet to be rushed though the process. Their equipment is state of the art and very pleasant to use. Yes, they do specialize in designer merchandise, but they have something for everyone, and their prices have always been quite fair indeed. If you like something a little sweeter, give them a go.

The office is new, clean and stylish but I found the service and knowledge lacking. The receptionist was rarely at the phone, couldn't understand how to input my insurance card information from Cigna and lost my kept asking private medical questions so everyone could hear.
I found Brassell to be cheerful but condescending. When I asked how many tests I would need before merely updating my Rx she sighed and walked out of the room leaving me to do nothing. She was already 30 minutes behind in appointments even though I arrived 25 minutes early.
I recommend going to a more experienced and professional establishment with multiple doctors that have more experience in treating patients as people instead of revenue sources to pay off the new furniture.

I really wanted to like Brassell eye care, the doctor is fun, enthusiastic, and nice. She seemed to very much know what she was doing, and had great hours (early some days, late others). The office was clean and bright.
Then when I started having problems with my eyes, I started having problems with Brassell. She doesn't always schedule appointments during her posted hours. Her receptionist seemed annoyed that I was having a serious problem with my eyes, and was very very annoyed when I asked questions about my insurance plan.
When I went to purchase glasses I was pressured and frustrated. I told them I didn't understand how the pricing worked because of my insurance (I had a budget) but they just wanted me to pick something. I understand that insurance is difficult to deal with but these are glasses I'm going to wear for two years I wanted to pick the right ones for me and my budget. Then I had a lot of trouble getting my contact prescription...
In the end, I was taken care of and apologized to, but it was definitely more of a hassle and frustration than was necessary.
