Thank you! What a difference we're seeing in Scout. She is so much easier to handle. We still have more work to do with her and plan to continue pushinf her a little more. Your added suppost is greatly appreciated as it helped us with what we needed to do with her to continue a happy, healthy relationship in our house. Thanks again.
I have asked over and over for this place to take videos of my dog playing in the back. The morning girl smiles in your face and says ok sure, but after 7 months of all the fakeness, and all of the unexplained marks my dog comes home with, IM DONE! And by the way....Penny is the worst trainer in the world and the groomers scream and holler at the dogs. Not to mention, they cant groom. They say Mans best friend is mean to the dogs, well so are they!!!!!!
I wont mention the last name, but Rover WAS a very large reddish brown lab mix. Extremely high separation anxiety. Was so-called "trained" at barks 5th. That dog loved his family so much and they all loved him. I know those kids miss their Rover. Im sure they are sorry for ever taking their dog to this place. This makes about the 5th dog that walked through their doors but did not walk out. Rover was dropped off for boarding. He became ill, 5 days went by without Rover eating and no one did anything about it. Then a kennel tech called the owner, Penny, to tell her that Rover was sick and needed immediate attention. Hours went by, supposedly, the owner of Barks went and checked on Rover, said he was fine. But he wasn't, he was lethargic, he looked bloated, and he would not eat. Days went by, owner of Barks took Rover to her vet ( supposedly ). Long story short, Rover is no longer on this earth, he was only 4 - 5 years old. There is no telling what was told to Rovers owner but I am quite sure it was not the truth!!! Rovers owners even had a credit card on file and said always seek medical attention if needed. Rover could have been saved!!!! DO NOT BOARD YOUR BELOVED PET AT THIS PLACE, ITS NOT SAFE

My husband and I had tried to train our dog Lily, but it was without any success. We tried other training techniques, other trainers, we tried everything but still nothing worked. We thought all hope was lost, until we found Barks 5th Avenue. From the moment we walked into the door we knew we were in the right place. The trainer took the time to really speak with us, and made us feel confident that we could do it too. Lily has made a complete change, and its all thanks to Barks 5th Avenue! They not only trained Lily, theyve changed our lives. We now have the perfect dog we always dreamed about. Thank you so much Barks 5th Avenue!

I have been using Barks 5th Avenue for about 9 years--since they were even at another location. Penny and her staff have always made my animals happy to be there. Tedi, my more recent dog, went through Barks' training as a young pup. I was very happy with the results. A year and a half later Tedi still does a great job following her commands--too bad I don't do a better job working with her. Although she knows her commands, she still can hardly do the ""right thing"" when she sees that we are at the facility. She just can't wait to go see her friends at Doggie Day Care. Patty, Roxanna, Michael and the others know us by sight and Tedi can't wait to show them her affection by wanting to lick--and they tolerate it! lol Both of my dogs have had double coats and trimming them is complicated and labor intensive, but that has never daunted the groomers from doing what I thought would look good. And, the dogs seem happy to look so pretty. I have always recommended not only their facility and services to others, but I also mention all the great types of food they have, including raw products. Tedi likes the different treats that they sell. Don't hesitate to visit Barks 5th Avenue and the great staff. They are very helpful and will answer any of your questions.

After visiting other grooming salons in my area and having bad experiences with nearly ALL of them, I gave up on hope of finding the right groomer. My dog would come home dehydrated and stressed out. I recently stumbled upon Barks 5th Avenue, read the reviews and decided to give professional grooming another try. The staff was friendly, professional and made me feel very comfortable leaving my baby in a new place. I met the groomer, Merial (not sure of the spelling) and she was very nice, professional, and very detailed. When I picked up my dog I couldn't BELIEVE how good he looked! He literally looked like he could be in a magazine! He was so happy...Merial took such good care of my pup. I will definitely return to Barks 5th Avenue and tell everyone I know about this great facility! If anyone has lost hope like I did, this place is for you!
