Terrible service in Houston Texas. The company at 1850 Hollister St, Houston, TX 77080 713-849-6600 does a terrible job and NEVER applies any weed killer, which is why there are so many weeds. What is worse, is that when it is cut, after the weeds have flowered, then it is cut and blown into MY yard, thus killing my grass. MY HOA then cites me for having a bad yard. How can a Landscape company not care for the easement they are contracted to care for and then not realize they are destroying my yard. Proves that they just DO NOT CARE. Spoke to Karen at Monarch and she promised me on March 23 that she would contact me, but NEVER DID. Monarch will not give me an email address for Karen, so I can forward pictures, but they claim that this is not policy. What Monarch means is that they DO NOT CARE and have no accountability. Uncaring and Unethical business.
VERY ACCOMMODATING! I love working with Gary every time I have a project. He always insures I am receiving the best price for each project. He's installed dry creek river beds, seasonal color, Christmas lighting, and much more - every year! His workers are always respectful. I have yet to have any problem over the 5+ years we've been working together. I recommend ALD for any one looking for a clean respectable team that takes pride in their work.
Promised to make up for missed services after year ends, but when I called to ask about the missed services (I knew there several weeks they did not show up for scheduled services). Sales manager stated they did not have a record of services performed last year THEREFORE they did not owe anything. Was quite surprised at the confidence in his tone as though there is nothing wrong with not keeping a record and/or using it as an excuse when you have communicated to customers you were going to making up for missed services...also over charged us on at least two occasions and kept saying they need to further research when I asked for reimbursement and already gave full proof...You can definitely find better alternatives..
I have never used this service but I sent a very personal text to their back up cell # while drunk one night. They made sure I got it to the correct person. They actually do care about people, customer or not. I can only imagine this carries over into their business.
Crew was going to come out today. Being that everything was screwed up I figured I should call back and verify services that were to be performed that were discussed in detail with Dutch. They were not going to be able to do the mulch which they said happen next week. I was fine with that until I got the invoice for 5 YARDS of mulch and all the other stuff that I didn't need and that we discussed in detail??? I can mulch my beds with 22 bags from Lowes, I don't need a dump truck load. Not only that I was quoted by Dutch 275 on the first visit to mow and mulch beds and now its 695???? The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing at this company and customer service is....well nonexistent. Buyer beware and hire at your own risk. And Special Touch, y'all may want to attend BUSINESS 101, just saying.
Ernesto installed a sprinkler system for me in June 2014. He was quick in providing a quote and coming out to install the system, however it went downhill from thereon. He installed a sprinkler control panel meant for indoors application, outside the house instead. He then promised to come back the same week to provide a suitable box for weather protection. He did not come back. In the subsequent 3 months, when I have actually managed to get in touch with him, he has always apologized and promised to return. On the 5 or 6 times an appointment day or time was made, he never shows up. The system worked fine in the first month, but I am now stuck with a sprinkler system which does not work, as the sprinkler control panel does not work and Ernesto is essentially refusing to honor his warranty for the system. In summary I would advise anyone considering his services to keep in mind that you may not ever get follow up service after the initial visit.
They take care of our lawn. A friend who knew the owner set me up with them. They do good work and I've never felt they were overbilling me.
We called Safari out this week to winterize and blow out our sprinklers. The temperature getting in the low 40s and I have had problems in past years when I didn't because the frozen water expanded enough to cause cracks in the system. They hooked it up to some compressed air machine and blew out all the water in the pipes and then shut off some valve so that the water could not flow in the sprinkler system anymore. Pleased with their work :)
