Good place if you want to drink and experience some dank a.s. Always good times to be had here! I would know!
Wonderful people , great service. Really know what they're doing and explain it to the customer so they understand too! Would recommend to everyone
Great place to get a bite and a drink. The service sometimes is iffy, but you can't win them all. I really like the curry.
There is no food, but they let you bring it in. Nice atmosphere and decent drinks. I keep going back.
Went on a Tuesday for the Karaoke night just to learn that new customer that want to participate ain't too welcome. I think that's the reason that weren't too many people there, just the people that obviously are well known by the DJ. It's ok there many places to go. in Houston.
Attended Grooves of Houston last night for Live Scene Saturdays with a friend from out of town. Went on the website to RSVP. as instructed prior to coming to the venue. I was rudely greeted by Rika at the front door who was extremely unprofessional and rude . She quickly assumed that I hadn't RSVP'd and did not know how to search for event brite in my email.. Very bad and condescending attitude.. She yelled at me that what I had in my email was not a ticket. I told her I understand but that I did RSVP for me and my out of town guest. I asked to speak to the promoter. She never called or asked the promoter to come outside as requested. After waiting ten minutes and missing more of the live music band who we came to support, I literally had to call Grooves of Houston from my cell phone outside and ask someone from inside to come out to assist us. Someone came out and let us come into the club.I was told by the promoter that by the time I RSVP'd earlier that the sale had ended but it still let me RSVP anyway, but just didn't send a ticket confirmation. Promoter never apologized for the inconvenience. just that the website shouldn't have let me RSVP and that it is a known issue. Clearly other guests had the problem as well. This needs to be fixed. Rika should not be out front as a representation of Grooves of Houston.
Friendly staff, a little long in terms of service because it's a bar and oftentimes they're PACKED, but great food and great times!
Same crowd, same fat British guy from the efficiency apartments, same dried-up cancerous bar tender, same convicts, same Mount Marley, same Strange Brew, same dart games, same chubby chasers, same everything. But those Big A beers for $3.00 hit the old Spatten. This is not a classy joint,; but they did re-do the bathrooms a few years back.Saw a chick wet her pants, and another light matches on her silicone jobs for all to see. Can see the drug dealers at Food Town the next day shopping with their grandma.Get lost in the Time Machine, be a faithful patron. Don't get too crazy, you too might climb Mt. Marley...
Nothing more pathetic than a biker chick in love with the female staff.Navy buddy almost got into it with a strange gal in leather who mistook a friendly compliment to the bar staff as flirting with her girlfriend.Chivalry is not dead, so we left the joint for the female bodybuilders to fawn all over the tiny little girl working the beer spigots.Disgusting.Stay outside and hang with the college crowd on nights the outside bar is open. This place has a strange vibe and a weird clique. If you know what I mean....
Service have went Allllll the way DOWN!!! All you get is attitudes from the workers. The drinks are good, yes. But they aren't as strong as they use to be and the services SUCKSS!! I can't stress that enough.
