About Search Results

YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

LeTourneau University

I entered Letourneau accelerated BBA program for working adults just before the turn of the century. I was short a math class, but was told they could probably substitute my Trig class for the Business math class. I worked full time, commuted 3 hours a day, and completed with a very good GPA. The time invested, and my low income caused a lot of trouble in my marriage. At the completion of my coursework, I applied for, and went to Graduation. Instead of a sheepskin, I was handed a blank sheet of paper, with my whole extended family present. When I asked for an explanation, I was told that the University decided not to accept my Trig class as credit for the Business Math class prereq. I had damaged my marriage, and had not slept in nearly 2 years, so could not take the math class. My marriage eventually fell apart, despite my efforts. Much of our problems were my ex wife's financial concerns. Had they notified me during my time as a student, maybe I could come up with a plan to complete the math requirement. Now, I am disabled from injuries resulting from long hours at a low paying, high impact job, and divorced. When I had time to complete the coursework, after my wife and I split, I was told there were a number of classes I would have to take, as requirements had changed. Definitely not happy with my dealings with this University. All I can say is, they will be very demanding and exacting with YOUR requirements and responsibilities, but not so much with theirs.

I am now paying off the tuition bill and no company will even interview me. I have sent out resumes and applications to numerous places for for almost a year now. I am so disappointed. I have a small part time job and now a new bill to pay with no hope. There are so many graduates from this place and other institutions just like it, that there is no need for any more employees with this certificate. Think long and hard before you sign up to go to Everest. You will climb the mountain but quickly slide into the deep ditch. They will not be able to find you a job either. They will send you to a lousy externship, a place that doesn't hire, but uses students only, to run their business to save money on hiring real employees. I was one of the good students and made great grades.

This school is a joke! I graduated June 29th, received my certification in Phlebotomy July 8th. It is now about to be October and I still don't have a job! They don't help you! All they care about is money. Dr Raymond is rude and he doesn't know anything! Can't understand what he saying half the time. The program is 900 plus 105 for the cert test. & he says after grad we can always go back and practice blood draw But when you go there's no one to practice with. All the teachers are rude and ghetto. They don't care about you! You don't learn everything you're suppose to know. He LITERALLY gives you the answers to the Cert test! In a room where there's no cameras. Just so he has high pass rating and can keep his school. I really don't feel like I earned my certification. I know how to draw blood but no one will hire me because I have no experience. & the cert is NOT nationally certified. Most places will Not accept MEDCA as a valid certification . BEWARE!!! Save your money and time!!!

The hairstyling piece to this school is HORRIBLE!! Grant it I understand the services provided are done by students, but I would think that students would not have the opportunity to work on clients until they have at least shown some type of mastery in the services being provided. I took my daughter in to have a piece of her hair colored (approx. 1 inch width previously colored so just needed roots touched up from growth). To my shock and hers a portion of hair four times greater than the original portion of hair was dyed. The color was not the color she originally had but now some type of red/orange/trying to be blonde color......terrible - terrible. I could do a better job myself and I don't represent myself as having any type of training. I woul have given ZERO stars, but the only way to leave a comment was to pick one star. TWENTY DOLLARS and the student left before total completion and my daughter even gave her a tip. If I wasn't so upset as well as having to wait almost two hours for the process I would have definitely DEMANDED my money back.

It also prepare me for the future with a better and brighter future ahead of me . I graduated in 2014 as a Sterile Processing Technician . I'm so sad. A year ago I would have never thought to be in this position. Pima has let me down tremendously. Not only it's staff but the students there as well. Please save your money and go elsewhere this school is a waste of my time. I won't specify what program Im in due to confidentiality . First of all the price is ridiculous.. You're gonna be in some serious debt i'll tell you that much. Also the staff is so unprofessional. Not just by the way they speak but also by the way they dress. I was often taught by people that worked in the field I was trying to get my degree in as opposed to an actual professor/Instructor. They were nice but had no teaching skills what so ever!! They just read from the slides. Besides all of that everything is so unorganized.. the curriculum?.. unorganized. I felt as if all I learned was from me self teaching myself. It was like taking an online class I never signed up for. The bathrooms are always filthy!! You would think these are people that are going to be taking care of sick patients so they should at least be clean. That is not the case here at PIMA!! these bathrooms are disgusting. Also it seems like they allow just anybody into these programs. It's very discouraging to walk the halls and to think these people were allowed in these programs. It's like they're just after anyones money.. Please be careful and really consider your decision before applying. I sure wish I did.

Looks like the person that wrote the previous review is bitter about something. Wow! so much animosity in the air, probably an employee that was fired or a bad student that couldn't pass.Community Colleges are not necessarily better,(They are way cheaper), but they do have lapses too, old labs, bad curriculum etc.The most important thing is at the end of the day every student takes the same board exam and thats all that matters. Don't know much about this school but my neighbor is a student and she said its a great School.
