I loved this place till today I went to go get feed,n fat supplements and when I got home and was leaving again to go feed my daughter's steer I smelt something and went to look and well the whole Gallon just about spilt in my car I am super upset cuz nothing like this has ever happened so I called and spoke to 1 of the older women and she basically was telling me it was my fault and that I must have punctured a hole or because it was rolling back n forth with the pressure it busted I have never heard that in 59 degree weather maybe 100 degree weather but she would not replace it.My daughter works very hard as she is on a budget and uses her entire check to feed her steer from day 1 and for this to happen and she now has to wait another 2 weeks or so to get more for him is so upsetting I help when I can as I am on a fixed income and now I have to try and get it all out of my carpet and assure it doesn't stay oily how I will do that I have no idea. So thank you Heidens for makimg my day go from having a good day to having a horrible one that will now get me stressed something I am not to be doing due to health issues!
Earlier today I purchased 4 ducklings and some basic supplies from the Hieden Feed and Supply store. I was a little concerned that they didn't know the exact breeds of the ducks they were selling, but I later identified all the chicks. The lady there was helpful and kind, and pointed us to several good products.Prices were good, and I went home happily with my new ducks. Unfortunately, maybe 20 minutes after I brought them home, one of them started loosing control and had what looked like some sort of awkward seizure. Within 5 minutes, she was dead. I'm not positive on what caused this, but my best guess is inbreeding, which causes my review to drop 2 stars.
This is the best store for what I need. Being the owner of 3 great danes, I go through a bunch of food. I get the best food for my dogs at the best prices anywhere around. I can also get most of there vaccine boosters as well.

As for the two people who had bad experiences you need to realize that while you tied up one of these employees looking for an education on your needs San Jacinto is used to dealing with G.C's that put in purchase orders for $100K or more. So while you were on his phone he may have been passing on a large order. A dollar waiting on a dime so to speak. We have used San Jacinto for years and have always been pleased with the service, product knowledge, and top rate interest in our projects.
they've got everything you could need in a reasonably easy to get to location and their staff was always helpful, however my last experience was horrible!! enough so to make it my last experience. i have critters that need a specialized diet. hiedens's was the only place i knew of that carried the food i needed. apparently, i was the only one to buy this feed and once i had purchased all of their stock, they neglected to order more. why should they? only one person buys it 1 time a month? i understand. the space for that one product could be filled with a better mover. i've worked retail i know how that part works. but the last time i needed to buy, i NEEDED to buy! i was out and my furries needed to eat! i had to settle for the very super last bag that was ripped open and retaped (missing some product) and turned out to be FULL OF WEEVILS AND MOTHS! i didnt realize this until AFTER i had been asked with a smile to pay FULL PRICE for the VERY subpar product. if my business is appreciated in THAT way i can so go somewhere else. i did. i no longer have to drive 35 minutes to maybe get what i came for and they don't have to carry a product that doesn't sell well.
I was a first time customer who was wanting to use organic pest control. I placed a $75 order and was paying with a credit card to have the products sent to me, when the owner said he would have to fax me a paper to sign. I asked if he could fax it over to my secretary and he told me "He had spent enough time on the phone with me for $75" and hung up on me. I called back and he said he didn't want to deal with me for $75 dollars of merchandise.
