We lost $3,000 unfairly upon move out. We rented from Alan Mundy for a year and we really loved our house. It had issues, like the bathtub and toilet drainage backing up on a couple occasions but otherwise it was a great house. However, he really took a huge chunk of money from us at the end making us pay a $2000 fee for moving out 3 weeks early (despite telling us that was no problem at all without mention of the fee even when asked directly and despite easily getting new tenants who moved in immediately and covered the rest of the months rent). He also made us pay full price for brand new carpets to replace carpet that was 30+ years old and already partially damaged from normal wear and tear when we moved in. This was a week after Harvey so we suspect he used all the funds he took from us to fix the house (it had leaked in the storm and they tore everything out without getting an insurance quote). Anyway needless to say, we were in a bit of distress after losing $3000 and their response was that he was running a business. Very very disappointing.

I wish you could give no stars but still comment as they are not even worthy of 1 star!These people are crooks and are only out to get your money and damage your credit. The office personnel are racist, unhelpful, rude and only cares about the residents they are related to. Be ware, they will still try to get you even if your lease is up. They will also not renew your lease if they have family who needs a place to stay. It happened to me.

I am a resident of RBBC apartments on Bateswood Drive in Houston, TX. Since last Thursday, December 7th, the water heater has been out of service. That was the night of the cold snap in Houston when there was snow. It is now Tuesday, December 12th. Despite empty promises from management, the water heater is still not functional and residents are subject to cold water and, in some cases, freezing temperatures. Residents should not have to pay rent when reasonable expectations are not being met. 5 days to repair or replace a water heater is absurd. Residents should be entitled to some sort of compensation. The saddest part is now that I've written you all, along with several other entities to report this issue, the water heater will be repaired with urgency. Management does a poor job and it's clear that they don't have any personal stake in this property. More than likely they don't live on site. I'd imagine that if they did, we would have hot water by now.
They do a great job with my place. Whenever I need help I call and they answer and then things happen that are mostly to my liking.
BEWARE these guys pass bad checks for parts purchases. Tomball Dodge has 2 for $2503.00 the owner avoids all phone calls and they wont make good on either check. We have tried 7 times to get this resolved.281-617-9662 Carlos is the man.

Crook, scam artist. Be warned, and stay away. He stole a couple of grand from me on a motor build. He has been ripping off people before and after he got out of jail. Has a record since 2012 of ripping off people. Look up 1st performance in cleaveland and splendora.Those were his previous locations. Or even jasson mott check kettling scam. Heck if you just Google his name, you will see for yourself. I spoke with a detective down in Cleveland where he ripped off alot of people and businese.Dude is a real peace of sh!+. Do your research people before you hand over any money to this guy. Wish i would have done mine before i gave him mine. You have been warned.
SMI realty has to be filled with the most incompetent, uncaring, slowest, and dumbest bunch of pricks I have ever had to deal with in my life. Don’t walk away from this company. RUN, RUN for your life. I speak mainly about my experience at Wildflower apartments. But I imagine the entire company and system, front bottom to top (including Starla T) is as horrible as the management at Wildflower.
