Nice environment and barristers are very professional, courteous, friendly, and efficient.

I love this place! I live all the way in kingwood and since I've discovered this place, I'm visiting it at least once a week. The coffee is fabulous. The iced coffee is un like any other you've ever had before. They even make the most adorable designs in your latte. I love the people who work th…

I started going here for a friend. He plays guitar and invited me up. First of all I thought it was a great idea . Here he could get exposure as a musician, have his friends come hear him play, and not worry about them trashing his house or feeding them. Plus it wasn't a bar. Most of us love to …

My boyfriend calls this place ""my second living room"" . The interior of this coffeehouse does indeed feel like a college hipster's living room with the eclectic furnishings of worn vintage chairs and tables. Though livelier than a library, the atmosphere is not too loud for studying and there…

Oh how excited am I that Phoenicia is coming to downtown Houston?!?! I've been frequenting Phoenicia since high school. My first apt was just down the street. That's where I got hooked. I now drive 17m each way to get my fix about every 6 weeks. Phoenicia doesn't have gyros. They do have the …

Good coffee and friendly atmosphere. Really like the patio which is a nice size and Taft Street is pretty quiet so it's a nice environment. Great pizza too! And good selection of drinks for non-coffee drinkers as well.
15. Cafe Red Onion
3910 Kirby Dr Ste 100CHouston, TX 77098
I've lived in Houston for about 5 months now and the Red Onion was the best dinning experience I've had so far! We got there Fri night at 8pm and only had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated. Our waitress was on the ball, being a waiter myself, I could tell she was keeping track of all her ta…
16. Jungle Cafe
9889 Bellaire Blvd Ste 217Houston, TX 77036
The deserts here are nicely decorated, but pretty pricey compare to their competition. Not much selection but the few that they have are of good quality. I cannot give 5 stars because of the price and hard to find parking during weekend - not because they are busy, but the businesses around th…

I started going here 20 years ago because of all the blue ribbons they won from the late Marvin Zindler for having one of the cleanest kitchens in Houston. (I sure miss Marvin and his blue ribbons now, they were such an honor to win . Sure wish Channel 13 would get a new reporter to try and fi…

I moved to Houston a year ago this month from Seattle, and I am ashamed to say, I had never visited the Heights. I was impressed with the historical architecture, the number of quirky recycled-items stores and the quality of this neighborhood's food. Being a vegetarian, I was particulary deli…
19. Catalina Coffee

I recall with fondness the caffeine buzz due to my my average 2.75 per-visit drink consumption at Catalina. I went there with one main intention: to have an amazing coffee experience. I didn't come to make friends with the baristas, I didn't bring my laptop. I came to drink some friggin DELIC…

It's all true; all of the great revues are all true! And it's not just the marvelous, mouthwatering food (although it's hard not to rave about). Throw in the lovely, exotic waitstaff, the simply elegant interior and simple, lush entrance with the heavy, carved wooden door. It's a little piece…

This place has the most amazing home cooked south east asian food I have ever had! There lamb/goat polao is to die for. They just revamped the place and it looks very decent now. Before it wasnt much to look at and I used to go regardless for the incredible food. Now with the new chairs and tabl…

I do not recommend Lone Star Coffee. My two years of experience with them includes many occasions of unresolved maintenance requests, overstocked kitchens, incorrect product delivery for orders, high employee turnover, and unorganized administrative staff.
Would prefer 0 stars if possible. The food was tasteless. The service was past bad. Avoid this place.
Great food with a comfortable atmosphere. The service was great. I recommend this restaurant to my friends and family. I will be going back.
So...I just came to this location after a workout, and asked for a water, which was given to me, and I'm thankful for that. However before leaving, I accidentally spilled my water in a bathroom stall. I let a barista know, for safety and all, and she didn't even say a thank you for letting her know of the mishap, even after being very apologetic. I asked for another water, was ignored completely, and threw my empty cup in the trash, walked out immediately. Apparently I have to spend five dollars or more on a coffee, or pay for water (which is free as far as I'm concerned), to get good service. Utter disappointment.
I am surprised to read the above review. We have gotten carry out dinners from Cafe Fresca about five times. My husband has eaten at the restaurant site a few times . We have no complaints , only raving compliments. The fettuccine Alfredo is delicious ; the pasta is handmade on site and they clearly use fresh quality cheeses . Ravioli, chicken parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana, and salad with grilled salmon were all delicious . I wish they’d add more salad to the menu. Yummy cannolis too !
The restaurant could be bested by a food truck! Don't waste your time or money! The food is cooked hours before you eat it. What we got was very cold and the portions were really skimpy! We had to ask for bread and when we did we were scolded for not requesting it when we ordered. What we got was cold sliced bread without oil or butter. I called today to talk to the manager and got someone named Sarah who let me know there was no manager or owner and that she was too busy to listen to me. Wow! I bet SHE is a valued employee!!! I tried to tell her about our experience. Sara was clearly not concerned. This place is expensive and serves horrible cold and skimpy portions. This place is a waste of your time and money! There are too many other great Italian restaurant in Houston go to one of them.
When I started at Lone Star Coffee I was harassed by some of the current employees because they were utterly upset that I got hired as a manager and they had been there for 6 months to a year. I brushed it off and learned EVERYTHING there was to know about LSC in the first two months. I was informed that they were moving offices a month into accepting the position which ONLY bothered me because I feel that should have been made known at the interview. I needed the job and I moved with the company of course. We moved into a 10 x 20 trailer (there were three of us, we left two behind - one because the owner said she was "dumb" and the other b/c she was pregnant... classy guy) the trailer was way to small for three people and not very accommodating considering I was their boss and did everyone's payroll basically right in front of them which I felt was very inappropriate...To read the full review visit Glassdoor.https://www.glassdoor.com/Overview/Working-at-Lone-Star-Coffee-EI_IE233097.11,27.htm
Staff is always friendly and welcoming. They take an effort to get to know regulars and check in on you if you have been there a while and might need something.
