The shoe repair business has been around since the 1960s my father and mother own this particular shop my father Strives on perfectionism and always has he cuts no corners he makes no excuses he is known as one of the best shoe repairman in Houston he is not like a lot of other shoe repair shops around Houston where the owners know nothing about the business that they own in short they have no idea how to fix shoes they hire people to fix them for them these are what you call coat tail Riders, Business owners to build their hi stature on hired help because they know nothing of their own business if you spend a lot of money on your purses shoes and boots not to mention luggage and just about any other thing you can drag through the front door this is the place to go and has been at this location for almost the past 30 years the other location in town and country is a separate business that is owned by another family member but has nothing to do with this location but also is a Nother wonderful SHOE Shop to go too. I don't know why this website is listing my name as Scott my name is not Scott my name is Eli Ayala, I am the son of the owners of this business I apologize on this website listing me as Scott
I really like Clark's shoes and have been going in here for years. The staff is always helpful and really will take the extra steps to make the trip worthwhile for me. Bottom line for me is that they are happy to help out in just about any way they can, and that is what makes it a special place …

I WAS LOOKING FOR A PAIR OF BLACK SHOES FOR WORK, WHICH YOUR STORE HAD A HUGE SELECTION. BECAUSE OF THE BOGO THE STORE OFFERED I DECIDED TO LOOK FOR A SECOND PAIR OF SHOES AS WELL. HOWEVER I FELT REALLY UNCOMFORTABLE, BECAUSE SECURITY FOLLOWED ME ALL OVER THE STORE. WHEN I ENTERED THE STORE HE WAS IN THE CORNER ON HIS PHONE. BUT IT SEEMED THAT AFTER HE NOTICED ME, HE SUDDENLY HAD THE URGE TO WALK ALL OVER THE STORE, BUT ONLY IN THE AREAS WHERE I WAS TRYING ON SHOES. NOT TO MAKE THIS A BLACK THING, BECAUSE HE WAS BLACK AS WELL. BUT BEING THE ONLY BLACK CUSTOMER IN THE STORE AT THE TIME AND HIM ALWAYS IN MY VICINITY, I FELT A LITTLE OFFENDED. I'M SURE HE WAS JUST DOING HIS JOB. BUT I WONDER WHY HE WAS'NT FOLLOWING THE OTHER CUSTOMERS IN THE STORE. I BOUGHT THE SHOES THAT I WANTED, BUT I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS STORE AGAIN.,
Not that there's anything wrong with it, just that we're middle class. I went in the Galleria for the first time in August 2007, when I first moved here and I heard raves about it from work. Unfortunately for me, when I walked in I was quite embarassed. I felt like I didn't belong and the sales personnel gave us dirty looks and wouldn't help us. Granted there's so much to do, and the apartments there are $5 Mill each, it's just not meant for anyone less than upper class. The worse thing of all, are the rich snobby teenagers with their roaring voices, they're so loud and abundant that it's hard to carry on a conversation. Other than that, it's gorgeous and you can walk for 4 hours at least and still not be done with the mall.
I think they only like to serve people who look like they are going to buy lots of merchandise. They tend to ask you to many questions when you try to get help from them. It's almost as if they are trying to weed you out and get you to go home. I find that most Sephora stores are like this, the staff thinks they are too great to help you. But I like playing with make up, and having a store that has make up and fragrance all in one spot. So I continue to go. Oh well.
The store is really great. They sell inexpensive shoes that range from 10.99 to 13.99. I have been in the store and seen other customers that literally want department quality shoes for 10.99. The quality of the shoes is actually good. The employees working there are helpful when you need help but the store is self-service so I did not expect to be treated any differently.
Just left this store with the best experience. Jim knew exactly what we needed and after sizing my husbands feet he knew what he needed to size him right. Another customer walked in and he immediately knew he needed a high arch fit. Fast service and a discounted price you can't ask for more! High five to Jim!
I don't wear boots but have used this store several times. Since I wear an AFO brace on my left leg/foot, my shoe straps aren't long enough. I've used them to extend my shoe straps. They do a good job to make an exact match to the strap that is currently on the shoe so the extension is barely noticeable.
Cute tops and bottoms...Owner has a really bad attitude. Very rude and acts like she doesn't want to be bothered. She lacks in customer service and that is a bad thing because that can really run people off. Why give her your money if she acts like she doesn't give a s*it? I can go elsewhere.
Jesse does some of the finest work you will find anywhere. I had a favorite pair of full quill ostrich. The heel leather had worn out. He replaced the ostrich skin with new and they look like the came out of the box! Great place and he makes custom boots too.
I have used the Village Cobbler at theTown & Country location to repair my shoes for over 30 year and have been extremely happy with their service, quality of their work and find their fees to be very fair. I
