A beautiful place. My family and friends were looking for a church to join, and we decided to check this one as a possible place of worship for us, so we went to the Dec. 16 Concert Gala. The temple was beautiful and the people seemed welcoming. However, during the first concert with the Boys Choir, my mother was quietly explaining the event to our friends, who are new to the United States. A woman who was seated with her family in front of us began to grumble very obviously but we paid it no mind as we assumed she was complaining of something that had nothing to do with us. How wrong we were! After twenty minutes of hearing her murmur and seeing her stare at us, she scolded us incredibly rudely! We were so incensed we reacted. We thought everything was over, until i saw her snap a photograph of us! She then said she would tell the artistic Director of the Boy's Choir, Carole Nelson, that we had been speaking during her presentation. I was appalled and told her that she should not be taking a strangers' picture without their permission. But it doesn't end there. She began to film a video of us! At this point i am ashamed to say i was incensed! I had never been so blatantly violated in a place of worship, and so i presented a rather rude finger for her future perusal of her illicitly taken video of me and my family and friends. I have never before encountered such judgment, she did not even give us a chance to explain ourselves before everything happened, she just turned to us and rudely scolded us and then took our picture and taped us to tattle like a boorish and bitter child. It doesn't end there! She began shadowing our group all throughout the jazz hall concert afterward! My friends will not be telling their family to join this church, and i will not recommend it to anyone either. There is no use for a beautiful temple if the people who are members of the congregation there treat newcomers in this way.

Love being a part of this church! A church that has great foundations in the Bible. This is one of many churches all over the world. El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, the US, Italy.
We recently moved and our new address is 4920 Fuqua Garden View Rd. Love this place! So happy to be part of this church that serves the hispanic community here in Houston, Texas.
This is a family assembly! You will really feel God's presence without any doubt in the message delivery from the altar.
This is a bible teaching church. The Pastor and wife are stable and comitted. The congregation is a nice mix of adults youth and children. The staff is engaged and supportive of leading people to Christ.
You will absolutely leave this church feeling REFRESHED! They are very friendly and loving! I will definitely be back! I would also like to invite anyone else who is looking for a church home to come visit The Refreshing Church! You will not be disappointed. You are sure to be taught the Word of God.
I have been coming here for many years and have meditated with the group. The group is small and is affliated with the Korean Buddhists. They have a 7 PM session MWF and 9AM on Sundays. Also, the phones are usually unmonitored, so leaving a message won't work - just stop by MWF is best.
The Church is full of the Holy Spirit and the people are so genuinely caring.
Wow, the Worship is Awesome ! I heard the focus all about Christ !
I only went to this church once due to an issue I had right after the service was finished. Once all is finished, the pastor invites the new visitors to go outside in a shaded area with church members who are there to give is a warm welcome and to offer us drinks and snacks. I was then approached by a male who began asking me personal questions. One of those questions was if I was married and I said yes. He asked where my husband was and I told him that he is incarcerated. He then said that the church has a program where they go out and visit inmates and preach the word of God which I thought was very fascinating. He then gave me a free bible and said I should give the bible to my husband and that it's important for me to preach the word to my husband even though our relationship may not last. I did not appreciate him saying that at all. Especially since I never asked for his opinion or advise regarding my marriage. I spoke to other members of the church and they were very kind, but I do not feel comfortable going back to that church anymore.
