It seems most parents were using this class as a day care for the 3rd to 5th grade choir. My grandson grew frustrated with classmates running around and talking while the instructor was trying to teach. They refused to take action and let us out of our contract.
Wow! What a positive guy! I've played guitar for over 30 years and have had some teachers who seem more interested in tearing my playing down rather than encouraging me. Nick is approachable and makes learning a lot of fun. He takes subjects that seem difficult and makes them understandable. Tha…

Being an older lady, I really did'nt think vocal lessons and piano lessons would do any good for me. I figured I was past my peak to learn. 3 months later, and my whole life is changing, because I was taught how important confidence is in playing music.

No complaints at all. I'm learning so much; and even helped my mentor build sound diffusion panels for his studio!
The class is so much fun and my children just can't wait to go to class every time. It's so different from other classes we had before. They immersed the mandarin leaning even to my daily life with my children. I love that I can practice with them and grow with them!
We are very impressed by TG Elite Learning. They are not a normal Chinese language program. Instead, they taught our children to appreciate arts while using their Chinese language skill. I tried many children's Chinese class, but most of them are not truly Chinese immersion and still lots of English in the class. I was amazed by how experienced the teachers are to create a fun and supportive environment for my children to use Chinese discuss art. I wish that I can have joined TG Elite Learning classes earlier.
They are pricy but worth every penny. I don't think I can find anyone better than TG Elite Learning in teaching arts combining with Chinese conversations practice. Their progressive educational philosophy is very ahead compare to other programs. I finally found a place is doing Maxine Greene. You will have to see it yourself.
We love TG Elite Learning teach our children arts in a Chinese immersion environment. Their classes are unique and fun. We used to try to bring our children to museums and concerts and children always feel bored. After starting with TG Elite Learning, they started to ask to see certain paintings at the museum or concerts in town. It's fabulous. My child even told me about Andy Warhol. Wow.. I can't even believe that he is only 3. TG Elite Learning really impress me when I talk to my babies about art. We love that they also combine Chinese, too.
I’ve been with West Oaks Music Studio since the 7th grade. I had started first out on violin in the 6th grade, but I was looking for any chance to be able to move up to the higher orchestra in school. A friend of mine had suggested the studio to me. At the time, she was the best violin player in school. It was been a wonderful 4 years at the studio so far. In fact, I love the place so much, I work there now at the front desk. I am now the section leader for my high school’s symphonic orchestra’s viola section thanks to one of the wonderful teachers there for being such an amazing violist AND violinist. Not only that, because of the studio, I have now rekindled an old passion of mine: playing the piano. The studio holds some of the best memories I’ve ever had, from the autumn and spring recitals to just sitting in the lobby listening to students jamming out on their instruments.
With all due respect to the woman who says she had to pay $30 to meet the teacher, that is not correct. $30 was the registration fee. The prospective client wanted more than to meet the teacher. She wanted some of the teacher's teaching time for free. I have been teaching there for over five years. It's a great place for teachers and students. We are more than happy to meet new students before teaching them and the student can buy a trial lesson to see if the teacher is a good fit. The registration fee is currently for your whole household for life. No other studio in the area does that. Come meet us and discover the truth for yourself. You will not be disappointed in us.
Years ago, when my son’s piano teacher said that there was “nothing more she could do for my son” because of his autism, I did not give up hope. I found the answer to my prayers: West Oaks Music Studio. The kindness and patience they showed my child was immense. So seventeen years later, my son is still a student at the best and ONLY music studio any parent should take his or her child to for lessons. The atmosphere is extremely friendly and the receptionist is always very sweet and helpful. The owner is very conscious of always having the right fit between student and teacher. Her number one concern is the students’ enjoyment and happiness while taking their music lessons. Also, every teacher goes the extra mile to ensure the student is learning and progressing at a good pace. They are very professional and well-trained in their musical skills and there is always an open door to any teacher to discuss the student’s progress. The teachers make it their business to visit with each parent after every lesson in order to discuss the direction the student is heading in with his or her lessons. My son feels it is his home away from home whenever he enters into the studio. My younger son also has taken music lessons in a variety of instruments as well as vocal training which was extremely beneficial to him when he entered college. It taught him how to always put his best foot forward and strive for improvement and how the concern and kindness of an instructor can guide an individual onto the correct path in life. Taking music lessons is the best activity a parent can offer a child since gives a child a love for all kinds of music. West Oaks Music Studio is the only place where one-on-one private music lessons should be experienced.
West Oaks is the only music instruction place in Houston that I would recommend. They have qualified (Bachelors and some Masters) and very friendly teachers. There are a lot of available instrument/vocal options and you can study any kind of music that you like - classical, pop, jazz, C&W, R&B, etc. My daughter has only been taking for 5 months and she is already sight reading both treble and bass clef on the piano! I highly recommend this studio to everyone!
