I took a couple of my sorority sisters here when they came into town and they loved it! The drinks were very good and the service was fast. We were jamming out to every song they played. I feel bad for scorpio698 but I guess things have changed for the better at the concert pub over the past 2 y…

This is where I'm watching the playoffs all the rest of the year and where I'll be for the World Cup in 2010 - since I can't be in South Africa. Always a great crowd for watching football - everyone is a good sport whether their team wins or loses. And of course nothing's better than a pint of G…

Nice place! Definitely good for watching sports. Great music playing with an excellent selection of beer. It's definitely a place worth checking out. High quality food for a bar with the menu created by the chef at Artisans. Everything was made from scratch, even the chips.. excited to try this …

I have no problem with the $20 cover to attend the St. Patrick’s Day celebration at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck. A quality venue with outstanding music, entertainment, food, and beer made me feel like I was actually in Ireland rather than Upper Kirby District. The owners sacrifice nothing to make i…

Happy hour is unbeatable! Cheap drinks, food is fantastic, atmosphere is ultra casual & fun. Come early, as there is often a wait & parking gets dicey. Bathrooms need improvement, but the rest is so good that I tend to overlook those things.

Typically go to Barbershop because of proximity to work. Went to Fringe and Jamie R gave me best haircut I've had in years. Nice atmosphere and friendly folks. In and out in no time. Extremely happy I made the move to Fringe. Thank you Jamie.

Great atmosphere, great dining experience! And not to mention great food--one of my favorite sushi places. Seriously, I've been here multiple times and I've never had a poor dining experience. The staff are always helpful, patient and nice. Try sitting at the sushi bar if you go!

They do amazing things with ribs here they are the best bbq place I have ever stepped in though I have only been in Texas for a month. Never the less I am very impressed. Stop in if your ever in town. I also love the loaded potato's.

The meteor lounge is the best little secret in Houston, with more class than any of the Midtown bars adjacent to it and at half the price. Everything from the Jungle patio to the colorful chandeliers is pleasing to the eye and its not a place packed with raving teenagers, its a great place to ju…

This restaurant was such a pleasant surprise! The food was the best I've had since moving from California 20 years ago. And definitely the best since moving to Houston 7 years ago. \r \r There was nothing, absolutely NOTHING I had that I didn't like. Even my iced tea was excellent. I usuall…

You won't find a better $10-15 meal in Houston (and that's not factoring in the central location, intimate setting, never having to wait for a table, and the friendliness of guy-who-I-assume-is-Fabio).

What can I say? Hands down one of the best dining experiences I've had. I'm not a regular so I wasn't expecting VIP treatment; however, the waitstaff and owner were very gracious to our party. I came in to celebrate my birthday with a few girlfriends and we were all very impressed with the atten…

You cannot go wrong with the Flying Saucer. Not to be confused with the Pie Company on Crosstimbers, the downtown Flying Saucer Draught Emporium is the place to be for beer. With hundreds of choices on the menu, you will find one you like. And, don’t worry if you’re an amateur. The waitresse…

I recently went here with my boyfriend for the first time and I really enjoyed it. It's a great place for some one-on-one time with your boyfriend/girlfriend. But, I do agree with the others...let's not tell too many people about this place!! It's a great secret and it wasn't over crowded or hav…

I'm sorry but I have found my experience at the Stags to be great ... as for the waitstaff / bartenders they are outstanding ... if your looking for the ""Hooter girl experience"" you will not find it at the Stags ... these ladies have class and culture ... I understand this can be misinterperte…
I drink the drink and eat the food. It go in my mouth, then my belly the out below. It doesn't look the same when it come out, but that is how it sposda go.
Wonderful food and atmosphere but the service is really bad. I hope it improves because it is a nice place.
There is no food, but they let you bring it in. Nice atmosphere and decent drinks. I keep going back.
Great food, horrible service. I couldn't understand why it was so bad and it seemed like nobody cared.
The food here is excellent and so is the place, it is the service that is horrible. And when I say horrible, I mean you can't believe it is that bad until you go try it horrible.
Attended Grooves of Houston last night for Live Scene Saturdays with a friend from out of town. Went on the website to RSVP. as instructed prior to coming to the venue. I was rudely greeted by Rika at the front door who was extremely unprofessional and rude . She quickly assumed that I hadn't RSVP'd and did not know how to search for event brite in my email.. Very bad and condescending attitude.. She yelled at me that what I had in my email was not a ticket. I told her I understand but that I did RSVP for me and my out of town guest. I asked to speak to the promoter. She never called or asked the promoter to come outside as requested. After waiting ten minutes and missing more of the live music band who we came to support, I literally had to call Grooves of Houston from my cell phone outside and ask someone from inside to come out to assist us. Someone came out and let us come into the club.I was told by the promoter that by the time I RSVP'd earlier that the sale had ended but it still let me RSVP anyway, but just didn't send a ticket confirmation. Promoter never apologized for the inconvenience. just that the website shouldn't have let me RSVP and that it is a known issue. Clearly other guests had the problem as well. This needs to be fixed. Rika should not be out front as a representation of Grooves of Houston.
Same crowd, same fat British guy from the efficiency apartments, same dried-up cancerous bar tender, same convicts, same Mount Marley, same Strange Brew, same dart games, same chubby chasers, same everything. But those Big A beers for $3.00 hit the old Spatten. This is not a classy joint,; but they did re-do the bathrooms a few years back.Saw a chick wet her pants, and another light matches on her silicone jobs for all to see. Can see the drug dealers at Food Town the next day shopping with their grandma.Get lost in the Time Machine, be a faithful patron. Don't get too crazy, you too might climb Mt. Marley...
Nothing more pathetic than a biker chick in love with the female staff.Navy buddy almost got into it with a strange gal in leather who mistook a friendly compliment to the bar staff as flirting with her girlfriend.Chivalry is not dead, so we left the joint for the female bodybuilders to fawn all over the tiny little girl working the beer spigots.Disgusting.Stay outside and hang with the college crowd on nights the outside bar is open. This place has a strange vibe and a weird clique. If you know what I mean....
Great atmosphere and employees! They have awesome premium hookah flavors! I will definitely be going back! This place is worth checking out!!
