Hello. We adopted a puppy from this rescue company back in May 2017. She had been born in the foster home and remained there until we adopted her at approximately 10-11 weeks of age. We were told she was a "lab mix" and great with kids, other pets and other dogs. We brought her home and began working on training her ourselves as well as paid to have a trainer come to the house to work with her for several months. Since having her at the house and watching her grow more and grow into her features she does not at all act or appear lab but rather looks and acts like a pit bull or staffordshire terrier/boxer type breed. About 4-5 weeks after bringing her home she ran after one of our cats and grabbed him by the throats and began shaking him around pretty violently. We pushed that off thinking she was just young and that it was a fluke. Another 3-4 weeks after that she bit one of our kids while he was on the floor doing homework and a week later bit another of our kids while she was sitting on the couch watching TV. At that point we were very concerned and contacted "Lois" from the BARC company and rather than show any concern. She laughed at me and told me I must be stupid and just not know anything about dogs or animals and that my children must also be stupid and must have made the dog bite them. She then accused us of having caused any aggression in the dog ourselves by abusing and maltreating her. She said that I was obviously the terrible type of human who would probably euthanize the animal bc of a stupid kid and called me a murderer. All of this was said without any question of how our cat or kids were actually doing. She then hung up and we never heard from her again. We contacted the foster lady we actually received the dog from and discussed possibilities. The dog has now also begun harassing our older beagle and has begun giving him seizure and attacked our rabbit. We called BARC again and were told they won't take her back. Too bad. Do not trust these people
