One of the most pathetic experiences that I have had, first they provide an appointment and when you turn up on the appointment date they say you are not on their list for the day. Thorough unprofessionals and would not recommend their service to anyone. Please do not waste your time visiting them
My husband and I have had great experiences at Aspen Dental. My husband's teeth are in great shape, and they pointed out where he was missing when brushing the first appointment, commented on how improved his cleaning was at the second. I have horrible teeth, crowns, fillings, constantly something wrong. They remarked on how great my crown work was, gave me good advice on improving my gum health, and fixed a broken filling quickly (which is important because I don't respond well to Novocaine and not at all to gas, so dental work is always quite an experience). We've been back every six months and never a bad experience with the staff or billing.
Absolutely horrible!! I had to have all four of my wisdom teeth removed. I made an appointment for when I was done with classes for the summer. I had an appointment at the end of May. All through out the end of March until the beginning of May Aspen kept calling me asking me to change my appointment. I asked why and their response was the doctor didn't want to come in that day and wanted to do it on a day he was already there doing procedures. Once again I told them no, I'm in school and the receptionists got very short and agitated and hung up.
During my recovery I was suffering from severe pain and called the emergency number after 3 days of not being able to sleep and the pain medication not helping. The doctor who did my procedure told me "my pain tolerance was too low" and to just suck it up. I ended up going into the office later that day when they opened, and my pain tolerance wasn't too low-- I had a dry socket!! I had called ahead they told me I would be seen immediately when I arrived. I went to sign in they told me it wasn't necessary and to have a seat. I waited for almost two hours until a nurse finally asked what I was waiting for, the receptionist didn't pull my chart or tell anyone that I had arrived and why I was there! However, the dentist and his assistant who took care of me that day, I believe Dr. Wilson(?) was wonderful, dealt with my crying because of the pain and went at my pace.
When I was first seen for my consultation and the day of the procedure they told me (and printed off papers) that my bill was 100% covered after my copay. Then over a month later I received a bill in the mail for $350 that wasn't covered by my insurance and was given SIX days to pay the remainder! Come to find out, they lied to my insurance company and said none of them were impacted when ALL four were impacted! It's been about five months now and I am still arguing with Aspen that I should not be responsible for that bill whatsoever since they lied to my insurance company. They are also threatening to turn me into collections.
Honestly just a horrible company, I was warned about them, but I had no problem whatsoever during my consultation. So I gave them my business anyway. Just a big mistake, I will never do business with Aspen Dental ever again, and I will never recommend them.
Warning! Don't go! I went to 3 dentists for evaluation with Aspen being the second I went to. They told me that I and my husband needed root canals, crown replacements because they are worn down, and a deep cleaning for my husband! The other dentists said that we only need general cleanings, no crown replacements because they don't show any wear at all and should last many years to come, and absolutely no root canals. Now Aspen has sent me a bill saying that I owe for root canals, crowns and incidentals including a prescription cleaning kit which I don't have and for work which was never done! (I did have xrays and cleaning...which was painful...which my insurance pays 100%) They will not remove the charges until my insurance pays for the xrays and cleaning even though I didn't have the major work done. The bill is due now and my insurance will pay at the end of the month. I refuse to pay for what I don't owe so now I have to get on the phone and straighten everything out. They wouldn't help at the office. Staff was unfriendly and unprofessional! Scary place! I'm only giving a star because I have to in order to post this review. They get thumbs down from me!
