Overall

What a horrible disappointment!! My daughter ordered cupcakes to be delivered to her grandmother, my mother, today for her birthday. Julie told her she would deliver after 3 pm today. We ordered from Illinois, Mom is in Cadiz, KY. There was a $15 delivery fee which was fine...the total bill just under $25 for 6 cupcakes. My daughter had to tell my mom to expect a delivery, and when it got to be 6 pm finally had to tell her what was going on as mom was getting nervous about the time and a delivery after dark, and apologize for the cupcakes not arriving as promised. This is my mom's first birthday alone in KY...my dad passed away in April and my daughter was trying to surprise her and brighten her day a little...my brothers and I live in Chicago with our families. So thank you, Blissful Cupcakes and Julie...for not answering the 5 calls made to your cell phone this afternoon and evening...for ruining a granddaughters surprise to her grandmother...and for making my mom a little more sad on her 71st birthday. Shame on you. We don't run our businesses in Chicago like this. How sad that you chose to default on a promise. If you didn't want to accept the order WHY DID YOU SAY NO PROBLEM? How fortunate that your credit card machine was down today...I had my daughter tear up the check she wrote...thankfully the mailman didn't come before you stopped answering your phone...I took the check out of the mailbox. Seriously poor customer service, and more importantly, sad to say, a business without ethics.
