I called to buy leather seats for my van. They said they had all of them in good but dirty condition for $100. My husband called to see if we had to remove them. They told him there were 4 chairs for $120. I called back to say i was disappointed they didn't have 7 seats and that they quoted a higher $ for less seats. I asked them to have a manager call me. No one did. W hen we arrived they acted like "what do you want". I was very uncomfortable! A nice guy drove us to the vehicle and started tearing out the chairs. He was great. Back to the office I told them the price they first quoted me. A man said he quoted $120 for two seats. he wouldn't make eye contact and was so unpleasant. I was'nt sure I even wanted the seats. They were filthy but the condition did not look good either. They said they will clean up great but I was not convinced. There was so much wear, dried and cracked. An older man said give it to her they're filthy. We cleaned them and they still need lots of work!
This may be different than for other people but when i want parts i like to recover them myself and i am always asked if i want to go get what i need and i do so happily. Auto wrecking yards intrigue me and i get good exercise walking around looking for my stuff. There are several guys that hang out in the main building but they are not all there to wait on customers. Checking in and out only took a few minutes each way. And in a final note, the parts are really under what i would expect to pay and i usually round up my bill because they are so affordable. This is the ONLY place i will ever go.
Called ahead for a part i needed.claiming they'd call me back in 20 mins.an hour later, still no call so i called THEM back.they had the part ready.i will say i do love their variety of aprts for sale and my own free will to go look for parts myself if needed, yet his attitude could've been alot better towards me.
They may have the most parts around, but they are the most unprofessional and unfriendly people. I have called ahead 2 different times and they said they will have a part pulled for me. When I get there they look at me like "what do you want?" and will not speak to you unless you approach them. Then the part that I called ahead was not pulled and I would wait 30-45 minutes for them to get it. There was one guy there with glasses and a hat that was working on a computer that was pretty friendly. The rest of them act like you are bothering them to give them your business. I used to go to get parts there a lot. Now I won't go unless I have to. I will call Hopewell Auto Wrecking first.
