Fabulous friendly service for walk-in, brought my car to shop by tow service in late afternoon yesterday and 2 new back tires were professionally installed (one for blown tire) in one hour. Big mahalo to Kyle who took good care of me !
My wife called me with a flat tire and the nearby gas station couldn't help her so they referred her to Lex Broadie's. I phone ahead and the estimate they gave me was reasonable so we had the car towed to them. By the time I got there she was done and everyone was very helpful and polite.
When I go to any business or establishment I always look for a friendly helpful face.I had the pleasure of meeting Jayda Alontaga one of your representatives. Right away I felt that she was competent and sympathetic to my needs in figuring out what service my vehicle needed. She did her best and my perception was that she genuinely cared.W hile most places are striving for mediocre.I am glad to say that Jayda and the gang here at Lex's are striving for excellence and customer satisfaction.To all at Lex's. Worst Service Ever! The "discount" isn't worth the horrible service!I went to Discount Tire today (at 3050 Ualena Street, Honolulu, HI) to get new tires for my custom 1964 VW Bus. I pull in and the mechanic jacks up my bus and begins working, then the manager (Clarence) comes out yelling... "STOP! That car is illegal!" So I get my title, registration & paperwork from Honolulu Department of Transportation showing my car is legal and classified as a "Street Rod". I also gave them the phone number to RECON so they could verify with David at DoT that it was legal. After about 10 minutes, they verified it was legit and that it was ok so the mechanic began working on my tires again. After pulling one off, he couldn't figure out how to get my spinner knock off hubs off the rim, so the manager came over and told me "you do it!". I thought he was joking, as I was standing there in my board shorts and slippas...I said, "you want me to do it?" He said, "you give me attitude, get out of my shop!" I told him all I wanted was new tires. And asked him if we could agree to complete the job. He said "get out of my shop!"I could not believe it! The mechanics and the receptionist all were staring in disbelief too. I asked him "do you treat all of your customers that way?" He said "yep...I sure do!" Just thought I'd let you know the horrible service is not worth the "discount"! I am letting all of my friends and family as well as several car clubs I am a member of to never do business with Discount Tire. If you are the owner of this business, I would seriously consider reprimanding this manager for his behavior. This is completely unacceptable!
