Good food at a good price

The location is not the best, but the food and service make up for it. We went late on a Thursday and had no trouble parking or getting a table. The ginger chicken soup was excellent. The Evil Prince with chicken is not to be missed! The Pad Thai comes mild with no peanuts, which made it a bit bland at first. We mixed in the chile sauce and crushed peanuts provided at the table and it became very delicious. I recommend asking for medium spice when ordering it, which they later told us could be done even though the menu says mild only. The Panang Curry didn't live up to the hype on the menu. I suspect we would have found the Yellow Curry tastier, but we decided to experiment a bit. We had no room left to try the special Mango Rice dessert. The menu seems to be the same as Keo's, which you can view online at keosthaicuisine dot com, but the prices are $5 less per dish owing to the lower cost location. It's not the best Thai food I've ever had, but that's just because I've run into some to die for Thai restaurants in my travels, all of which are half a world away from Hawaii. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I'd gladly go back again.

Authentic Thai in Hawaii

Okay, not the best location and the neighborhood may seem sketchy, but if you're looking for some authentic Thai without paying the ""tourist-trap"" prices this is the place to go. There's a small parking lot in the back and plenty of street parking as well.

We went on a Monday around noon and the restaurant never really got full, which was perfectly fine with us. The service was great and the food even better. It's clean, the food is made with quality ingredients.

I would say about the only con to this place would be the chairs. They don't really go with the Thai decor.

Average price during lunch is around $7 per entree. The ""Evil Monkey"" I think it was called was pretty darn good. Basically, it's basil, coconut milk, and some secret spices blended to makea special sauce to sautee your choice of meat. Try the chicken!

Bon Apetit!

Solid Thai Restaurant

This review is for the King Street location which is a favorite restaurant of mine. The space is small but not tiny, nicely decorated with fresh flowers and clean white tablecloths. The service is always friendly and timely even during their busy periods. Basically everything on the menu is good. Save room for the banana in tapioca dessert! Prices range in the $7 - $15 range for each entree. There is a parking lot in back but fills up often and difficult to manuever through when full. Street parking available.
