Excellent service. I got a car that had the low tire light on. I returned after picking up my husband and they gave me two options - fill the tires and see or change out the car. I chose the former and then found the tire lower the next morning. Came back, quickly and easily changed it out for a much better car. The only thing you have to deal with at Alamo is that it is the longest distance from the airport until the new car rental location is done so it takes a while for the shuttle to get there. However, the location is easy to come back to for drop-offs, etc. Excellent service. Personal served us with much aloha.

Great service all around! The shuttle picked me up promptly from the airport and the driver was pleasant and informative about what to do while on Oahu. I opted to use self check in, so when I arrived at the Alamo office all I had to do was go to the lot, pick a car, then show my paperwork at the kiosk as I was driving off. When returning the car all I had to do was park the car, I then immediately got back n the shuttle and headed back to the airport. The whole process was quick and easy, it is the reason why I will only rent with Alamo.
Reservation through DELTA airline, no problems. At Honolulu only had to wait 5 minutes between shuttle, just missed one walking out of terminal. Very personable and helpful driver, "ED". Office is located off airport along H1, not great but confusing coming back for drop-off. Although tons of cars there was not offered an upgrade and lot attendant started at the smallest (and cheapest looking) of our category selection. The car selected was very new, only 3000 miles, fairly clean and worked for us.
The price and service was good. I would have liked to keep the car and extra day for the same price as the first few days or even a little more, but I would have had to pay quadruple the price at $190 a day when I only needed the car because I needed to take a later flight than expected. I ended up needing to return the car and renting from someplace else for $35 a day for a better car. It was an unnecessary inconvenience.
I am a long time National member. I travel 30 weeks a year, I only rent from National. This was a different experience. I am an Executive Elite and was offered a Nissan Rogue. I eventually settled for a Chevy w/3rd row seating. We had 5 adults and luggage. I ended up having to bring that back due to a leaky tire and was only offered a Dodge suv/crossover, not a full size car and not a luxury. I was not happy.
All I can say is National has provided me awesome service...true professionals that make their customers feel like they are their only customer. Outstanding technology...fantastic online web site and a mobile app that is actually useful and personalized to the user. Bottle of water...fantastic touch of class...love it. National deserves 5 stars in my books. Keep doing a bang up job!
I rent from National about 8 times a year. No problems with the people, they are awesome, I just don't understand as an Emerald club member I cant just walk to my car and leave. All other National rentals do this. This National rental has the staff writing a thesis before I get my car. The cars always seem to be brand new at this place, And again, the people are super friendly!
The people were excellent to deal with and the facility is right at the airport, which is rare these days for car rentals. And we love the Emerald Isle, which in this case allowed us to get a mid size SUV for the same price as a mid size car. That made it awesome, because our luggage would have never fit into a mid size car. The car was clean and comfortable too.
Always have a positive experience with the service agents when picking up our vehicle. They are friendly and helpful and I like the idea that they take you to your rental and go over the vehicle with you. Dropping off is also pleasant. That is why I am willing to continue renting from Enterprise even if there are cheaper deals available.
Elxcellent service. Ticket agent very helpfull and very pleasent. Car (new Honda Civic was new and very nice after poor higher end car from another company on the Big Island. We arrived on the tail of last years hurricane and it was pouring. Return was efficient and again friendly. I hope to use them again when I come back next year.
