Okay, okay I know I'm probably the only local girl in all of Hawaii who doesn't just drool over Liliha Bakery's cocoa puffs. Although, it's not them it's me, really-- I'm just not a huge cream puff girl in general. But, that aside. You have to try the cocoa puffs-- they really are good. And if you have just a minute or two more you could sit at the old fashioned counter and order true diner style from their menu overflowing with local goodness. I love stopping by here just to soak up the energy of what seems to be one of the last true diner's in Hawaii. Oh the good ole days. Oh and also this is the perfect, and by perfect I mean really, truly perfect in every way, place to break any carb related fasting. Be careful when you enter as you will most likely not be able to leave with out one of their signature boxes brimming with sugary sweetness. And that, truly is the sweetest thing.
I had an appointment to try-on dresses a few weeks ago and although I did not end up purchasing my gown from the Bridal Boutique, I did enjoy myself in the store. The ladies were helpful and friendly. The store was laid out nicely and it was important for me to be able to pick out the gowns I liked rather than having them picked for me! I probably would have gone with them if they had carried the gown I wanted.
Bijou Bridal is a beautiful bridal boutique, big and roomy, very comfortable. They're very professional and friendly and made our shopping experience fun and pleasant. It was easy to locate in the Kakaako district and great parking in the building. Thank you Leslie. Lynette & Bill
Never knew wky people were so crazy about malasadas. Was not impressed when we ate some from Champion's last year. Leonard's this year is a whole new ballgame. They were fresh, hot, and delicious!!! A truly yummy treat. Willie Wonka himself would be proud of these malasadas!!!
The ice here is as fine as snow. Matsumoto is good, but Waiola is better in my opinion. I knew it had better shaved ice the moment I tatsted it; however, the rest of my family had to go back the second time around after hitting Matsumoto's to confirm my findings.
This bakery is in Honolulu but we happened upon their roaming food truck in parking lot of mall by Macy's in unk town on east side of Oahu. So ridiculously good and for $1.25. Get all different variety.
SO GOOD! These malasadas are the most delicious ever! It is impossible to eat just one. Well worth the wait, as the bakery is sometimes very busy. A definite place to visit when on Oahu!
I tried their sugar-free baked goods and I was extremely impressed! The cake I had was moist and flavorful and unlike other sugar-free cakes I have had. I will definitely go again.
THIS IS ONE OF THOSE LOCAL PLACES TOURISTS SHOULD BE SO LUCKY AS TO FIND, THE BEST MANAPUA AND PORK HASH IN THE ISLANDS, FRESHLY MADE EVERY DAY AND HOT AND WARM . NONE BETTER. DAN
Love the malasadas here. Great first thing in the morning with the fresh and hottness of the donut. Mmmm yummy. Get there early to beat the lines that always await!
