Business Description
The first Dairy Queen store was opened in 1940 in Joliet, Ill. Since that time, the company has grown to more than 6,000 stores in over 20 countries. Dairy Queen is an ice cream shop and grill that is one of the largest fast food restaurant franchises in the world. For many years, the franchise's slogan remained "We treat you right!" In recent years, it has been changed to "DQ something different." Dairy Queen is a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. The company's stores are operated under three brands, all bearing the distinctive Dairy Queen logos and serving the company's signature soft-serve ice cream. Its stores serve a normal fast food menu that features burgers, french fries and processed chicken products in addition to frozen treats and hot dogs.

Poor Customer Service

I called to ask a simple question that would not take 5 minutes to answer. The person who answered the phone said they were busy with the lunch hour (11:15 am) could I call back later. I then asked to speak to the manager who also asked if I could call back after 1:00 pm also. I know what good customer service is and how to go that extra mile it's a shame that the manager there doesn't feel the same. How sad that he couldn't take 5 minutes to answer a simple question.
