I sent an heirloom porcelain doll from Arizona to Florida for repairs. I found the number for this location on line. I was not aware they had a web page. The doll was returned initially to the USPS store where it was mailed from and not to my home address which was on the label and also was included inside the box with the doll. When the doll was returned the stand that was holding the doll when I sent it was not returned. When I called the owner told me that they wouldn't return the doll stand because they "told me not to send anything extra when I sent the doll." After I pointed out to the owner that I had spoken with her three times and that this was never discussed, she told me I should have read it on her webpage. I informed her that I didn't even know they had a web page and asked if she ever told me about the web page. She then told me she hadn't told me about the web page. I asked about how I was expected to know her terms and conditions if 1) she didn't tell me and 2) she didn't tell me where to go to find out what they were. Her response was that they didn't have time for that but that she would sell me a doll stand. Please note the doll stand was also an heirloom and the original stand provided to my daughter with the doll by her grandmother. When I questioned why I should pay for something I already owned, she rudely hung up on me. I neither raised my voice nor was I rude to her. I merely asked for clarification regarding their customer service practices. The owner is a really poor communicator and even when we discussed repairs she did not do what was requested or discussed. The doll required a leg repair and the circumference of the repaired leg doesn't even match the leg that was already on the doll. Shoddy work and I will now have to send it to a reputable doll hospital to have the repair redone even after they charged me $225. Horrible customer service, rude owner, and poor workmanship. I would never recommend!
I SENT A VERY OLD DOLL THAT MY MOTHER OWNED WHEN I WAS A LITTLE BOY, SHE IS NOW 81 YEARS OLD. THIS DOLL WAS VERY SPECIAL TO HER. DUE TO IT'S AGE, IT WAS IN BAD SHAPE TO SAY THE LEAST. I TOOK A CHANCE AND CALLED DIANE. SHE SAID TO SEND IT TO HER AND SHE WOULD ASSESS IF IT COULD BE REPAIRED. I SENT HER THE DOLL AND SHE CALLED ME AND SAID IT WAS DO-ABLE AND IT WOULD COST ALMOST $300. I CRINDGED AT THE PRICE BUT FOR MY AILING MOTHER I FELT IT WOULD BE MONEY WELL SPENT. I WAITED WITH GREAT EXPECTATION AND ANXIETY. WHEN THE DOLL WAS DELIVERED AND I OPENED THE BOX I ALMOST CRIED AND HAD TO SIT DOWN.MY WIFE SCREAMED! I BECAME NAUSEATED AND COULD'NT EAT DINNER. THE PAINT AND QUALITY SHE APPLIED WAS HORRIBLE.IT LOOKED LIKE A 1ST GRADER PAINTED IT BLINDFOLDED, THE BODY LOOKED JUST LIKE I SENT IT AND SHE DIDN'T REPAIR ANYTHING.BEWARE WHEN YOU DO BUSINESS HERE.
