Came in here one Saturday, ( one of the only good mechanics open on Saturday). My car was making a really obnoxious noise that had gone from bad to worse. About 10 a.m. that day my car's lights started to flicker. Fortunately for me, I was able to get on this website and discover Bartlett Automotive. Before this I had called another well-known Memphis mechanic shop. They suggested that it could be my alternator and quoted me a seriously ridiculous fee over the phone. I won't say the name of this place, but, it starts with a G. Their price seemed way over the top, so I started to explore my options. Obviously it was important to find a place that is open on Saturdays. At this point I started exploring my options and just happened upon Bartlett Automotive. I called and they seemed really nice and professional on the phone. This helped when I decided to try them out. Turns out that I was just able to make it there before my alternator gave out. Kenny ( the owner), and his wife (Micky) were as nice as could be and I could sense that all they wanted to do was help me get back on the road. If that wasn't enough Kenny quoted me a price, part and all, that was less than half of that other place. Needless to say, I was extremely glad that I was able to find this shop, and in the future, I will not hesitate to take my car issues to Bartlett Automotive. In this day and age, it's really nice to find someone that you can trust with your vehicle.
By far this is the friendliest, best staffed, and most professional motorcycle dealer in Memphis. Ben is a salesperson on the floor who has always spent time with me discussing the aspects of the bikes I like, and even after I have said I would not be buying for a while. This is great as I feel welcome there and know that I will be greeted by a staff that has the knowledge and truly seems to enjoy their jobs. At some of the competitors I did not receive anything close to this professional and upbeat reception. It was also reassuring that a mechanic I talked to on his break said their service window stays the same year round as far as wait time while down the street I was told by a competitor it would be three weeks before they could look at my bike since it was summer. While I have not bought a bike there yet as I have always had used bikes, and after four years in Memphis riding and seeking out parts and advice as well as service, there is no doubt Honda/Yamaha on Mt. Moriah is the place I am given the most respect as a walk in customer. They also have easily the most bikes on the floor and the biggest service garage of any dealer in the 901 Memphis zip code. To me this is the place to buy a bike in town.
Finally a trustworthy mechanic! I have the worst luck trying to find one but not today. I went to three different places to put on a power steering hose that I already had in my hand. Yes, a power steering hose, simple right? The three places I went to all got on their happy computer to look up some magical program that gives them an estimated time to put parts on a car. I forget the program name but they all said, 2 1/2 to 4 hour job and $250-$400 estimate, yes for a hose install. I told them where they could shove that hose! I decided to stop into Bartlett auto and I could tell right away these guyz meant business and not scam thy customer. They put the part on and oil change for very reasonable price. A salesman came in to sell his company's "parts business"(a company that sells parts to repair shops) and the owner explained that he has two different customers, ones that can(Bartlett) afford the warranty parts and one's that can't(Frayser) and he lets them decide what to choose from which is awesome, most would try to up sell you the warranty parts even if you are poor like me. They just got a new customer and I would recommend to a friend!
If you have a foreign (or domestic) vehicle that you love & value, and you're looking for the best quality mechanic in Memphis, then this REALLY is the only review you need to read! Before I took my LandRover to Shane, Nick,& the other guys at Midtown Autowerks, I had mechanical issues that lasted for a ridiculous time period of 6 weeks! I thought I would save $ by letting other mechanics address my overheating issues. A few mechanics and $850.00 (of wasted money) later, I decided it was time to turn my wheel over to someone who really knows what they're doing! They were so professional,& reassuring:) after a very stressful 6 weeks, I left my vehicle there with a feeling of trust in their mechanic abilities. And my instincts were correct! Not only did they repair my blown head gaskets, but they also cleaned the stop-leak gunk from my radiator and hoses. Apparently someone had put it in there prior to me purchasing the vehicle. In just a few days, Shane and his team got me & my daughter back on the road!:D I will never let anyone else under my hood!!! Thankyou so much Shane!!!
I purchase my 2008 TSX right off the back of the truck bringing it in to the lot. I receive excellent service from the sales manager all the way to the service department. In my years for purchasing a new car, Acura in my opinion has the BEST service department you can look or ask for. The service managers really go out of their way to make sure all needs have been met. That is one of the star quality they offer that will keep me coming back to purchase another Acura. The saleman I had @ the time was good to about a 4 but, I think he was new. The sales manager was great! The only little small complaint I have. I had to actually come to the office 3 times before they got all my figures together. The system or something wasn't adding my sales tax correctly, so with that I actually signed three different contracts before it was my last. However, they did make up for it with a full tank of gas! So, that weighed out. They are very good @ what they do. I LOVE the car! and the service department gets a 5 star by itself. Keep up the good work.
We were about to make a cash purchase of a Lexus LS460L that was very attractive and appeared well taken care of. The owner of the vehicle had been an avid Elite customer and we mutually agreed to drop off the vehicle with Elite Automotive to have a pre-purchase inspection performed. I agreed to pay for the inspection and communicated to the seller that I would communicate with Elite Automotive myself about the inspection. Several hours after the vehicle was dropped off I received a call from Elite. The company owner personally contacted me to advise me that the vehicle had significant sub-frame damage. This damage was only visible as the result of an extensive inspection not normally consider part of a pre-purchase inspection. We have nothing but gratitude to the staff of Elite for their integrity, and for placing their reputation above all else. We have since become devoted and satisfied customers. Elite Automotive has extremely well qualified technicians, that you can trust with your high end vehicle needs.
When you are ready for a new car, start with Chuck Hutton Chevrolet. When I bought my Chevy Aveo there recently, the sales experience was exceptional, but the Service Department is just as remarkable, I soon discovered. I took my car in last week because I was unable to get the A/C running efficiently. Terry Lamb explained that I was not pressing the right buttons, She not only told me; Terry took me out to my vehicle and showed me several ways to take best advantage of the car's cooling system. While my car was undergoing a routine inspection, the staff noticed bubbling on the grille. I hadn't even detected that, but the grille was replaced without charge. I know that the city of Memphis is currently gathering votes for this year's "Best of." I am pleased, but not surprised, to see Chuck Hutton among the top dealerships. I am determined to juggle my schedule, by the way, to take advantage of Wednesdays: Ladies' Day. What a nice custom! Keep up the good work, Terry!
I had the BEST car buying expierence ever at Dobbs Nissan!! I shopped the other stores in the Memphis area and it was the same old steriotypical car sales expierence. Salespeople standing out front smoking, looking like vultures ready to pounce on you as you get out of your car etc, etc. Dobbs Nissan was COMPLETELY different, I would have saved a lot of time if I would have stopped their first. From the time I arrived, I felt they really wanted to help me find the car that was best for me. Brian Malone (my salesperson) was awesome! He took his time and was not pushy. The sales manager Kevin Riche was great to. The General Manager of Dobbs Nissan, Jeff Smith, took time to welcome me and when I purchased he thanked me for buying a car from Dobbs Nissan! I cannot say enough good things about Dobbs Nissan. Their new store on Hacks Cross is beautiful! Thanks Again Dobbs Nissan!!
I have just completed the purchase of my Tenth Acura from this dealership. Over the years I have grown close with many members of their staff. I feel like they treat me more like a friend than customer. I originially purchased several vehicles from Greg Moore years ago and he is now in charge of service. Greg assures that all service dealings are pain free and him and his staff have handled unusual requests from me without a second thought. Special kudos to Brandon Willoughby. Greg introduced me to several great folks in the sales department (Ali Pirani is the best) and along with New vehicles for myself -- i have purchase two used vehicles of other makes for my kids as well. Even though one of them was just a $3000 car -- it was the same red carpet treatment I received when purchasing a $45,000 MDX. I would and have recommended them many times to my friends and colleagues.
I just purchased a new 2016 Hyundai Tuscon. I had the pleasure of working primarily with Steve Bizon. I highly recommend him and this dealership - working with him felt like working with a friend more than working with a salesperson. There was no pressure, he worked with me on my sales price, and he made sure I got all the bells and whistles I was looking for. Steve was very helpful and very thorough. I also worked with Young Lee (the sales manager) and PT (I forget his last name) in finance. Both were very well-informed, and PT also made the finance part of the deal easy and without a lot of pressure. I get that they are salespeople and trying to make a living, but I really appreciate that the guys I worked with at Wolfchase Hyundai recognized that I was informed and were willing to work with me to get a great deal on the exact car (features, accessories, color, etc) I wanted.
