Best chicken franchese I've ever had. Meat sauce is also consistently good over the years. Good desserts too

I started going to Mel's with my grandfather who started going there over 40 years ago...it has been there forever--it's like a landmark. I Frequently eat at Mel's Restaurant and everytime the food and service is outstanding. I have yet to come across a bad experience while there. The hostess there is the sweetest old lady and is always very welcoming. It is a great family atmosphere and all the staff have been there for years. Prices are low and quality of food is high...huge portions and the heartiest soups and homemade dishes...the fries and meat sauce is unbelievable I always bring some home from takeout.
