We have been coming to AMI for many years. We rented a beautiful home on Bean Point the past few years through a local rental company. Unfortunately, this year Mike Norman had taken over as the new rental company. As soon as we returned from our stay in feb. 2013, we were ready to book again for 2014. I got in touch with Lisa Collier from Mike Norman realty. She rudely informed me that my 10 night request for 2014 was denied. It states on their website a 7 day minimum stay is required. I asked why this was a problem, I have rented this house the last 2 years for 10 nights each time. I was told I HAD to book for 2 weeks. I told her that wouldn't work. She never responded and when I asked to have her forward my information to someone else in the office she replied " I have forwarded your e mail to Rochelle-I don 't believe she can help you either. This early in the year we normally have a month minimum for the month of February. I was willing to break the month up into two 2 -week reservations to accomadate you. You said that wouldn't work for you. I didn't think you needed further assistance. Lisa". Needless to say Rochelle never got back to me and now the house has been rented to someone else during the time I had requested (and not for a month like they say you need to book) also noticed they raised the price of the house from $2500.00 to $4500.00 per week!!! WOW!! Customer service skills go along way when you are in this type of business. This realty company has horrible customer service skills. I hear from others on the island, they are known to be behave in a very curt manner. THANKS A LOT FOR CRUSHING OUR DREAMS TO RETURN!!!!!!!!!!!! There are plenty of great rental companies on the island Mike Norman is not one of them!!!!!! If I could give them 0 stars I would!! Try a true local company for your vacation to AMI: Engel & Volkers, Green Real Estate, SATO or Island Real Estate
