I had used one of the newer vets in this practice because Dr Tapper wasn't available for my Siamese cat that wasn't eating. I mentioned that the animal had a foul odor coming from his mouth. The vet examined the teeth and gums and proclaimed them ""ok"" then went on to order $600 worth of tests. The cat was 14 yrs old. One of the animals kidney's was failing and he was put on daily water infusion therapy. This went on for 2 months with me coming back every third week to complain that the cat was not eating solid food and was suffering and that I wanted my beautiful cat put down. They wouldn't do it until, after 2 months and $1200 , they honored my request. After the animal was dead, I looked in his mouth and lifted his tongue. There was a huge tumor on the front part of the underside of the tongue--something that could have been found and removed 2 months earlier and without the suffering the animal went through and, needless to say, without the expense .
I've been coming here for over 20 years Dr. Tapper is absolutely amazing words cannot express how I feel about him as a veterinarian and person. This is a place where you're not another number and you get what you pay for. If you want the best care for your animal this is where you need to go. My shitzu Gizmo lasted 19 years and one month to the day for the simple fact that Dr. Tapper is amazing and I didn't sacrifice to keep his health up including full bloodwork and dental cleaning annually with your normal vaccinations. The other veterinarians that work there are also cut from the same cloth as their leader. My American Staffordshire terrier Myah
Is 12 years old and very healthy almost like a puppy despite the light aging because of the care of Emerald Hills Animal Hospitol. They're not cheap but they're not expensive the health of your animal shouldn't be sacrificed to save a buck if you can afford it.
I find that Dr. Ron Tapper is one of the warmest, kindest doctors that I've ever dealt with. He has made one of the worst experiences of my life easier with his compassion and willingness to go the extra mile to ease the pain and suffering of my pet and our whole family. He has taken care of 4 of our beloved pets with humanity and understanding. Our family will love and appreciate him for ever. The Rudder family.
