If you like casual, Florida and an amazing burger, this is the place! The atmosphere is SO MUCH FUN and the drinks were excellent, too. The biggest problem was HORRIBLE service! Our waitress didn't seem to care how long everything was taking, we felt completely ignored! But hey, it's a great place to bring your out-of-town guests to soak up a unique atmosphere of toilets and sinks, watch some boats go by, see the water sparkle, and feast on a fat yummy chunk of ground beef.
If I could leave zero stars I would. This is a terrible place. I do not usually have complaints about things, but when I do... there IS a problem. The service is slow and rude. You have to seat yourself, get your own water, and get your own menu. There were four people in our party.. One person got their food and the rest of us waited 39 minutes to get ours. Despite the fact the that we all ordered the EXACT SAME THING ...hamburgers!!!! How hard is it to make hamburgers and bring all of them out at the same time???? And don't order a Bloody Mary. Here's what you'll get... Bloody Mary mix and NO VODKA. This place is one of the worst places I've been to in a while. They included an 18% tip and it was highly over priced. There were 4 of us and the bill came out to about $200. Let me remind you all... We all got hamburgers. Do the math. Overpriced! This place should be called Le Toilet!!!

we visited with my family
we visited "" le Crud' with my family......the hamburgers are overpriced,,,,,,,,,,,,the spigot on the water cooler was black and full of crud from other dirty hands,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the waitress was rude beyond words, when we finished eating she waited until she received her full 20% on the bill that came up to $50.00, we regret paying this incompetent waitress and realized after leaving how insulted we were.......................and after repeated phone calls and begging to speak to the owner, we decided just how ignorant he or she is, however, we will never go back, too many decent restaurants and nicer people to deal with.......
i would be ashamed to own that dog house

It's true: the burgers are enormous (13oz), not very good (we had the sirloin), and the wait is abysmal (after you wait to sit down, you STILL wait for at least 1.5 hours for the burger to arrive, even during non-rush hours). Also, the fat bearded man who seemed to be owner is an absolute rude a**hole. we turned on the sole light bulb above our table because it was impossible to see out food anymore (the sun has almost set), and the a**hole owner/manager came over and turned it off. We turned it on again. The a**hole came over and turned it off -- again -- and barked at us NOT to turn it back on. We asked why., His response: ""because I want it off."" Only later did we realize that this idiot was watching a COMMERCIAL on the nearby flat-screen TV. I guess he couldn't read the subtitles with the light on. ruined our otherwise OK dinner experience (made better ONLY thanks to our very professional waitress, Robyn). On the (tiny) plus side, the drinks are pretty good (strong but tasty), and out waitress, Robyn, was fantastic -- very nice, very accommodating, and she gave us great advice regarding our food choices. Robyn makes this place tolerable, no thanks to the a**hole owner.

After reading mixed reviews about LeTub here,I had to go. My friend and I were greeted by the attendant in the parking lot that there would be an hour wait for food (Tues afternoon at 1:30PM).Not a problem , we said and went to the quaint small bar, greeted by John the bartender and again told of the wait. Great view of the water, we ordered. I ordered the Sirloinburger Medium Rare (13 Oz.)(and was warned it would be MR) and my friend had the Seafood Salad. I think, John took care of us or because I ordered MR...Bill's Salad came out in about 20 mins and my fantastic burger followed shortly, which I devoured and enjoyed thoroughly. Cooked to perfection and tasted GREAT! The folks panning this place don't know what they're talking about and are obviously morons with little or no patience or oblivious to what they want or like. Anyhow, we loved it!

This restuarant if you want to call it that, doesn't even get a rating, it was that bad. This is my first review ever, because normally i don't care if i have good or bad service. But in this situation i needed to tell the world how horrible this place was. I find it amazing that some people reviewed this place with 5 stars, what the heck are you thinking. I ordered the so called world famous sirlion burger, a little excessive with ground beef. It wasn't bad in taste however i had the runs almost immediately after consuming it. I can only imagine how digusting the kitchen is. And what kinda of place doesn't take credit cards or atm. Don't forget they charge you for everything, and overcharge you for the crap they serve you. Whats scary is i could go on and on with the comments of how terrible this place is, where is the health inspector when you need them. This place needs to be shut down.
Waited about an hour to eat. Then the food was cold. The place is dirty and the waiters are very rude and very nasty. It was my sisters birthday and the worst ever!!! Seriously!!!!! Toilets are very gross and le tub is a very unproffesional name!! :P Don't eat there ever if you want top quality food just go to Stephen's Restaurant In Hialeah Fl.. Very bad place RUDE, DIRTY, UNAPPETIZING, AND IT STINKS!!!
The guy at the bar was rude & condescending whebn I asked the best place to park. I walked out shortly thereafter. I still haven"t tried the food but I don't think it could be worth the attitude & the prices..Capones next door has great Chicago-Style food minus the attitude...OH and Ocean Walk Skewers in the Ramada Resort Mall has amazing HUGE burgers for a great price with a great view of the beach...Le Tub can have their gourmet prices and trailer park demeanor while these other (better) establishments can take their business to the bank!
A good while back and shortly after their Oprah fame:
le tub stated they wanted to get back to the locals...
Well, i pulled up in my boat at about 11:30 am-the dock looked like it was being repaired (or just falling apart) so i asked a big redneck looking guy if i could tie up? He yelled "twelve oclock". I responded that i knew the hours, but can i tie up? Big redneck guy threw his hands up-apparently annoyed- and again yelled "twelve oclock"
How much more local can you get-two guys in a fishing boat at mid-day. I will not go to this place or recomend it to anyone. besides Vado on the broadwalk has a better burger and its not dirty.
I'm stunned and the poor comments - too uptight and need to chill just like the Le Tub! the Burger is Sirloin, HOT, and more than a person should eat which makes it perfect!!! The Key lime Pie is a great way to top off your lunch. Go, Chill out, and enjoy your friends! - By the way - the staff was great!

I'm not even sure where to begin, so i'll keep this short. My Latin American father, my indian friend, and my mexican friend walked into the bar and were immediately treated with disdain. the bartender was pissed off we came into his bar, and his really fat redneck friend called us names and threatened us. I am white, which shouldn't matter, but i was horrified. We kept completely to ourselves and were completely and constantly polite. It was scary to see this in 2010. We were eventually forced to leave the bar. The ladies we were sitting next to were also horrified. It was disgusting and shameful.

This place is the worst, they treat their customers horribly, like they cant be bothered with serving you. 1 1/2 hrs. waiting on a quiet night with lots of empty tables and still no sign of our burgers!!! The owner's response when we said we weren't going to wait anymore?? ""Fine I'll give 'em to someone else"". The waitress even said she hated the place, that should tell you something. I'll never go there again

I was in Le Tub with my mother in law, and 9 months pregnant wife. We ordered 2 beer, one coke(for my wife), seafood salad, and a burger, after waiting 25 min on a dirty table which had food left overs from the previous clients. We placed our order, then started to wait. It was more than one hour wait time after the first 25 min, then I saw they were serving almost the same food we ordered to the next table, they placed their order after us.
I asked our waiter to explain this situation, then another waiter who (Steve) was serving to next table jumped in and start to yell at us. I asked him to let me listen our waiter's explanation first, he kept yelling at us..he yelled ""I CAN KICK YOUR ASSES OUT"" .. I could not believe my ears. Our waiter kept apologizing for his behavior, and offered us to cover the drinks while we were leaving the restaurant. I paid for the drinks and left with my pregnant wife, and her mother who came from Europe a couple days ago.
What a night!
I have been living in Hallandale/Hollywood area for 10 years. I know how restaurant business work from my own experiences. This is the worst behavior I have ever seen...

Waited an hour for a table. Got a table, waited 30 minutes and left. No service. Asked two servers for menus and they said someone would be with us when they could. NObody came. In fact, two others tables came and left while we waited. Rude unfriendly service. We left with the 10 bucks the table before us left as a tip. Though it was worth it since we had to bus our own table!
Maybe that's why your still a server at 45.

It may be damp or even wet, It is mostly outside so there are insects & birds. In Florida insects are EVERYWHERE especially outside. The place is made from flotsam & jetsom the owner found on the beach, including the tables & benches so it is a rough keys type atmosphere. You can get there by boat & this is when cold beer tastes best, - there is NO draft beer.
If you're a clean freak, if you're in a hurry, if you don't like insects, lizards or birds, if you don't like to wait, if you want your behind kissed, if you want fine furniture, crystal, silver and gourmet food, DON'T come to LE TUB.
They do have food & yes it's expensive. They have a kitchen that is 4'x6' - maybe. With ONE cook & ONE bartender & a huge local customer base so everyone has to wait. Everyone.
They do NOT take reservations, credit cards or large parties. They do NOT have HIGH CHAIRS. They are a beach bar.
The servers are overworked and underpaid so they do not have time to do anything but take your order & bring your food. If you want water you have to get up & get it yourself from a huge orange cooler on a table in the garden. It is cold & it is free.
I personally have only occasionally had to wait an hour for food & that was on a Friday or Saturday night, a Sunday afternoon, or a holiday. You have to wait at many places at these times. Le Tub is a pleasant place to wait as it's on the water & you can watch the boats pass by while being caressed by soft Caribbean breezes. You can relax & watch spectacular sunsets while drinking yummy marguerites.
I have had great burgers & fabulous steaks. I have also had dry burgers & tough steaks. No one gets it right 100% of the time.
I had to laugh about the tourist trap comment. Clearly the tourists don't care for for the place but we are locals & my husband and I have been going to LE UB for 20 years & we love it. It's a place to slow waay down, relax & enjoy life.

Nobody at LeTub claims to have the best anything. And that's precisely the problem. People come from all around expecting a ""best"" experience and leave dissapointed. I don't blame the staff for the attitude, they give back what they get. I've been going to LeTub for years, and it was definitely better before the hoopla. but that is because you get out-of -towners and oprahfiles coming in expecting the staff to care what they think. Bottom line; the bar did not ask to be written up. people come for ""romantic dinners"" and "" it's supposed to be the best"" or "" i have a party of twelve"", and my favorite;"" do you have a high chair?"". You will be treated rudely.
For the past couple of years my buddies and I make sport of watching people get treated badly and getting upset at the staff, the wait or the crowds. this has always been a place to have many drinks, chiil on the water and MAYBE, MAYBE; order a bowl of chili or a burger as you are drinking. it's primarily a bar. Period.
Now people call to make reservations(ha,ha!), ask about Valet parking( ha, ha, ha!), pay by credit card(there's an ATM outside!), and then complain loudly;""but, Oprah said....""
If you want service, If you want your tail kissed; go to any number of corporate chain restaurants. That's what they do. When you complain that the LeTub staff don't care about service, Heck you're right!
As to the burgers, the're fine. I've made better. But certain times, with the right amount of drinks behind you. and if the weather is nice and breezy, and you are sitting out on the water.Life couldn't get much better.
