THE WORSTSERVICE EVER FROM THE TECHNICIAN TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THIER CUST/SUPVR!
Sears refused to service my oven after 2 service visits.
-2000--purchased a White Glass top Kitchen aid Convection oven and Service Agreement from Sears In Melrose Park.
-Oven had a partial serial # then as it does currently.
- many service calls on this oven but the last ones has LEFT ME WITHOUT AN OVEN.
AUG. 2016 SEARS replaced the circuit board.
NOV. 2016 the oven would not work on low temps and gas fumes leaked & the internal glass broke while waiting over a week for service.
DEC. 2016 Tech ordered an igniter and glass.
DEC. 2016 weeks later tech back to install the igniter and glass.
Tech removed the broken glass ( I had to get a tarp and broom) - The replacement Glass is the wrong size? but the had taken the oven door off, broken glass in the floor.
- The tech called his office talked for over 30 minutes with his office. He jimmied the oven door back on said he could not service the oven and I needed to call the warranty agreements and lemons dept.
-Tech took the replacement glass and igniter left the broken glass in the floor and said I had to call a different #. He said they should not have serviced the oven since 2000 w/o a proper serial # but since their techs continued to service the oven and renew the agreement they were responsible for my oven. Sears has sold me a service agreement since 2000. He left the mess in my kitchen floor and rushed out. I called the office the lady said they would put a search out for the glass and if they were not able to locate a glass they would replace the oven. I called back on Jan 2 the supervisor of the Warranty and Lemon Department advised me that they would no longer service my oven and would not replace it. She recommended I go back to the sears store where I purchased the oven? Shocked at how a major corporation would treat a 30 year customer.
I've purchased every major APPLIANCE WITH SEVICE AGREEMENTS in my last 3 homes and rental property from Sears and this is the treatment FOR A LOYAL CUSTOMER. I bragged on Sears for years now I feel obligated to share my story so that THE people I speak with do not patronize an organization that does not appreciate customers!
