        Dishonest SOB's, they DON'T deliver

        This resturant is listed as a returant that offerers delivery. However, when you call to order, they tell you to call the dilvery service from hell that charges $5 per person, plus gives themselves a tip. By that definition, EVERYBODY delivers. We ate there a few days ago, and the food was pretty good. But it really rubs me the wrong way that these holes are listed as a resturant that delvers, and in actuality, they don't.

That runs counter to our thirty year tradition of offering top quality food and service to our customers. Due to a high demand, we decided to offer food delivery this year for the first time ever -- and chose to use a third-party delivery service. We will definitely pass this on to the delivery service and will work to better communicate to our customers on how the delivery service works. We are happy to hear however, that the food itself was satisfactory. Please ask for Mitchel or Mike next time you come by the restaurant, and we'll be sure to arrange a discount for your next meal. Again, we apologize for the miscommunication and poor service and will work better to ensure it does not happen again.

        MSG Is Not for Me

        If you like highly Americanized Chinese food (and if you live in Hixson, all bets point to that being the case), Formosa is a good bet. If you are into a more authentic experience, steer clear. It's basically pseudo-Chinese food loaded down with extreme amounts of MSG. If you have food sensitives...definitely steer clear. We actually much prefer the place across the street - Mandarin Garden, because it's healthier, more authentic, and has no MSG.
