Relatively new to Savannah, and have been looking for a good shop to take my vehicles to. Word of mouth pointed me towards RPM, and my experience today sealed the deal. I will not be going anywhere else.Full disclosure... I'm a guy that tries to do whatever he can on his own cars, but sometimes going to a place with things like lifts, air tools, and the like is better than busting my own knuckles in the driveway. I'm quite mechanically oriented, which helps when selecting and using a shop for jobs I can't (or don't want to) do myself.To start... Everything in RPM's facility is CLEAN! The waiting area is spotless with free soda and coffee, and there is a huge window overlooking the service bay that didn't have a single fingerprint on it. Nice furniture, TONS of magazines, and there's a couple places (Zaxby's, BK and McDs, and a few others) within walking distance for grub if you're waiting for your car.Jason, the service advisor, was more than accommodating. I came in on a budget to have work done on a car that I am selling, and was more than willing to allow me to source parts from a local Advance Auto, as there was a significant cost difference between them and his supplier (they recommended I do this, as they don't have the ability to buy retail parts, yet realized it'd save me $). Grabbed the parts myself, and they were more than happy to put them in.Nate, the tech that worked on my car, was awesome! He took me out to the service bay and showed me exactly what was wrong with my car. He was understanding about letting me leave with the car briefly to save $100 out of pocket on parts, and jumped right back on it when I returned. He was on point, cordial, and professional.The best thing? The "book time" for my job (subframe bushings on a Chrysler Concorde) was 2.5 hours. I was quoted around $225 in labor for the job. That said, Nate finished the job in around half the time (including having to use a torch to undo a rusty bolt), and at a total cost of $125. Amazing!I've been to a LOT of shops over the years, and have never seen this standard of service. To put it simply, I'm blown away. As a car guy myself, THIS is how to run a shop.Don't fear coming here... They'll do you right.
I just purchased a brand new Honda Civic from Southern Motors. Initially, I was shopping for a later model used car, and was definitely on a budget. Ronald Caceres was the salesman who helped me. When there weren't any used cars that met my criteria, he told me he still wanted my business and began talking about a new car. I did not think that was an option for me, but I told him the parameters of my budget and if he could get it within that ballpark, I would buy that car today. I will admit it took a while, and I declined a few offers, but in the end, I left with a new car. I was a little over my budget, but when I thought about the fact that I got a new car, I was still happy. I purchased my car on a Saturday. The following Monday, I received a call from Jeff, the person who handled all of my paperwork, advising he had gotten me an incredible deal, better than my first, lowering my interest rate, my term and my monthly payment. I had been told they would try to get me a better interest rate, but I figured that was just something they told everybody. Needless, to say, I am ecstatic! Ronald was so friendly, and although persistent, not pushy at all. I got the feeling he really wanted to help me, give me what I wanted. I was extremely impressed that even after the deal was done and I had signed the papers, Jeff at Southern Motors worked to get me a significantly better interest rate. That is really going the extra mile. I would recommend this dealership to anyone.
Do not do business with this company. The owners are not trustworthy. I sold their parts department a wheel and accidentally sent them the wrong one. They got a hold of me and told me I made a mistake, so seeing that I had made a mistake I did some research on this company and saw that they seemed to be very trustworthy and honest. I decided that even though my policy is to never ship a second item out for fear of never getting the first item back, I decided to break my policy and TRUST Grainger Honda. I shipped the $200 item out to them and they received it immediately. Then they decided to never return my phone calls and keep my original $200 item that I accidentally sent them the first time! I even sent them a prepaid shipping label TWICE to send the item back to me but they wouldn't. I called over and over, asked to speak to the general manager, and found out I had been dealing with the owners ALL ALONG! So now I am out $200 because I trusted that the owners of this Honda dealership were honest people that did business the right way. Never again!The owner did contact me and apologized and got me my money back about a week after I left this review and filed a complaint with the BBB. I do believe that if I had never left this review or left a complaint with the BBB I never would have gotten my money back and would have been left in the dust and out $200. Thank god for companies that protect consumers.
Absolutely awesome place to get great tires at reasonable cost. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My tires had an issue with the lug nuts and Tony explained the possible outcomes and pro's and con's prior to doing anything, so I could decide what I wanted to do( being a female and obviously not knowing ANYTHING ABOUT CARS NOT EVEN THE ISSUES WITH TIRES) He did not attempt to jack up the price or bs me. He even told me where to purchace the new ones spoke to my husband on the phone and wrote everything down for me and on top of that... he let me use his name for a additonal discount at the part store down the road (when I went to buy the the lug nuts) and it saved me a few additonal bucks. I am one who has really noticed how horrible some places have become when it comes to customer service, so I gotta really say thanks when I see a establishment that is so customer service driven, THANKS TONY AND ALL THE OF THE STAFF WHO HELPED WITH MY DIRTY YET VERY FAST DODGE CHARGER. You all were great and I have already told 3 friends about y'all so I hope you get a lot of customers I will def. be back when I need another set of tires. I got a great deal on some GOOD YEAR tires. I was passing through town on my way to Virginia when a "check engine" light came on in my Mazda 5. I followed my GPS to the first Mazda dealer it could find, but the dealership was not there, so I pulled into Savannah Toyota. Elijah was very helpful and the service team found the problem. However, I could not stay long enough to get the problem fixed. Elijah confirmed that the problem would not cause the car to break down on my way to Virginia and advised me to get it to the Mazda dealer as soon as I got home. For all of this, the dealership charge me $0.00! While the visit took 2 hours, it gave me piece of mind, and the fact I was not charged was impressive. For the record, my other car is a 2005 Prius with 165K miles, and I still get over 50 mpg on it. I have told my wife that her next car needs to be a Toyota, not a Mazda. When I buy my next car, I wish I could buy it from Savannah Toyota. Thanks Elijah - you went above and beyond, and I appreciate it!
The two things I hate worse than anything in the world is to have to visit the dentist and take my car in for repair. Going to the dentist was always pretty scary until I found someone I could trust. The same applies to my mechanic. I have finally found someone who doesn't take advantage and puts honor above money. After being told by a couple of my good backyard mechanicking buddies that I needed some major work done for a problem I was having, I compared prices and took my car to Savannah AutoWorx for the needed repair. I was informed the problem was simply a minor adjustment that needed to be fixed and not the doomsday prophecy my friends had foretold. Now I can depend on my car once again and the cost was not outrageous. Finding a good mechanic is like finding a good dentist - you don't wanta go, but if you must, then please let it be as painless as possible. After reading the great reviews, I decided to make the trip over to Faiths. First of all, finding it was difficult due tot he fact that there is no signage. Upon entering the property, you drive over a "field" of used tires, stacked and marked with their sizes. I was greeted by a man who asked what size tires I needed. After telling him 235/75/15 he walked me to a small stack of 4-5 tires, which, frankly all looked much worse than those tires I was looking to replace. The price was $35 per tire + mounting and balancing. He said, those are what I have, see if you like any of them. I knew immediately this was not working. I thanked him and headed towards my vehicle. He called to me asking if I was interested in "tube"tires. I smiled and, after petting the very friendly cat who patrolled the grounds, waved goodbye.Perhaps others have had better luck at Faiths. I headed over to Walmart and for $68 bought brand new tires.
I had a great experience at Grainger Honda! I worked with Derek Knowles and he was awesome. I'm a very picky person and I have to look at things several times before I'm ready to buy but that wasn't a problem for Derek Knowles. I test drove five cars over three different visits and on the last test drive Derek Knowles allowed me to test drive the car on my own for about 45 minutes, which was very important to me. I felt very comfortable with Derek Knowles the entire time. I never felt like he was trying to push anything on me. He was just trying to find the right car for me. I highly recommend Grainger Honda and I highly recommend that you specifically ask for Derek Knowles. I promise you won't be disappointed!
My wife and I recently decided to purchase a set of used tires for our daughters suv. The tires have been great, the price was very reasonable, and one of the guys made us feel very comfortable considering he conversated with us almost the entire time we were there. In and out in 40 min with 4 tires installed and they even replaced our valve stems for free. They also quoted us a set of new tires and so far they have had the cheapest price we have found. We will spread the word for we like to support our communities small size businesses. Endless thanks for your interest in us as people and for taking the time to spend with us. We will use you guys when we decide to get our next new tires.
