Velvet Touch Ltd

I have been bringing my two dogs to the Velvet Touch for the past year. The people there are very professional. The staff are all so friendly and caring to my dogs. When I first walk in the shop with my dogs, the dogs are a little nervous, but the staff always greets us with a smile, and they know how to make my dogs feel comfortable almost immediately. I recommend this shop to all my friends.

My husband had been bringing our animals to the Velvet Touch periodically for years. He felft everything was satisfactory until our cat was very badly cut. Animals squirm, accidents happen. I understand that. But what really bothered us is that the groomer came out and told me it looked worse than it was and that it was very superficial. My husband was out of town so I just took the cat home. When my husband came home he (with medical expereince and training) became very worried. He said that wound was far from superficial and would need stitches and antibiotics. We took the cat to the vet and they concurred. I wish this website had an "attach" feature because I would love to post a photo of the gaping wound that went all the way through the fat and into the muscle tissue.



Since then we stopped bringing the cats in but continued bringing the dogs in for occasional grooming. Every time I go in I am less and less impressed. First, the person behind the counter always has a look on their face like not only is it their first day at this store, but that they've never worked in a customer facing job before. They always look lost and confused and leave me with zero confidence. Today when dropping the dogs off we ordered shampoo and nail trim only but when I picked the dogs up they had both been "furminated" as well which essentially doubles the bill.

We didn't order this service but paid for it since it had already been done. I have already consulted Angie's List and found our new groomer. We are no longer going to use the Velvet Touch.
