Worst hair experience of my life! As a returning customer of Enthusiastic by Fabricia beauty salon located in Hillside NJ, I decided on a cut with honey highlights to my waist length hair with stylist Joao Jose Soares. This simple cut and highlight turned out to be MASSIVE mistake. After showing Joao Jose Soares, various haircut photos, he went to work. He began cutting my hair, not taking into account how much hair he was actually cutting. Once he was finished, I noticed he had not followed my instructions on length and style. I was visibly upset. Now onto the color, I requested honey highlights. I got bleach blonde strips. I was mortified beyond words. Putting aside my shock, I paid the full amount and left to try and fix it at home. After about an hour, I decided to come back and see if they would dye back some of the blonde. I actually wanted to dye it back completely, but they insisted I would “get used to it”. When I expressed my feelings, they made me feel as it was all my fault. Obviously not aware of this incident, I had previously made an appointment for my twelve year old daughter’s holiday “style”. With half an hour until her appointment, the salon owner, Fabricia De Freitas, sent me a simple text expressing how “they didn’t want to do her hair”. I called to speak with her multiple times only to get sent directly to voicemail. It is never ok to dismiss a client, but it is disgusting to disappoint a child during the holidays.
