Gourdough's is located in a little trailer park on trendy South First Street with colorful picnic tables. It is BYOB and patrons bring their own wine or other beverages for a great night out.If you're in a hurry or want something light/healthy, this is NOT your place. They make everything to order so the wait has been up to forty minutes long when I've been. Note- earlier in the day, they're not as busy and more kid/pet friendly. The employees are super nice, willing to split charges and do accept credit cards. The food itself is AMAZING. These are no ordinary doughnuts. Each doughnut is bigger than my open hand, is made to order, and is topped with any combination of sinful and tempting toppings. I usually split my order with one or two others and walk away plenty satisfied. The best experience ever was going with a group and sharing several different flavors. Their website includes photo of every menu item so you can get a good idea of what you'll be ordering! The Dirty Berry is the perfect blend of chocolate and grilled strawberry. It is very rich but I could not. stop. eating it. Miss Shortcake was also equally delicious- with a generous spread of cream cheese icing and pile of strawberries. The Flying Pig is a personal favorite. It was coated in just the right amount of maple syrup icing and covered with 7 or 8 pieces of bacon. Porkey's with Canadian bacon, cream cheese and jalapeno jelly sounds like a really odd combination but is DIVINE. This one I devoured all on my own. Seriously, I would probably order this one over any of the dessert ones, and I am a huge fan of any kind of dessert.
Craving ice cream and hit this local Baskin Robbins. The ice cream was delicious (as usual) and apparently the issues in past with the stingy owner have been resolved. Met the new owner who took over this summer, he was pleasant and helpful. Also took home an ice cream cake and loved it.

From Business: To us, honest ice creams simply means we use only pure, wholesome ingredients in our artisanal ice creams. What doesn't go into our ice creams is just as important as what does. We never use artificial colors or flavors, high fructose corn syrup or preservatives, ever! Ice cream shouldn't just taste good - we believe it sh…

Lick beats out all of the other quirky ice cream places; sorry Amy's and Ben and Jerry's, but Lick has definitely stolen your places. Lick make their own ice cream flavors; very unique and different , yet somehow the flavors mix together and taste amazing. I tried the chocolate with olive oil and salt which was good, but settled on a small with chocolate orange and too hot chocolate. Too hot chocolate is a spicy chocolate ice cream made with chili powder and other spices. I have definitely found my new favorite ice cream flavor and favorite ice cream shop-too bad I don't live in Austin.
And I thought Amy's was it then I stumbled on this place: wow! This is darn good ice cream, especially if you like funky flavors and good ice cream.Check the board for the pinned flavors for the evening: today I had the roasted beets and a scoop of the persimmons. Delicious.Come try it.
They have the creamiest and the smoothest froyo I have ever tried. They also have lots of things worth trying and I am certainly going back for more.
It's not only the best donuts I've ever had but its the food I've ever had! Simply perfection!!!!
I enjoy going to Amy's to meet up with friends.
