COMATOSE, in a coma , UNCONSCIOUS, this is how my dog TUXEDO was carried out of furbabies, IN ARCHDALE, AND HE DID NOT SURVIVE being put into a insulin coma at furbabies , this was after they told me they could take care of a diabetic dog, NONE OF THEM ARE QUALIFIED , he stayed 75 HOURS, 3 days, and 3 hours and he never recovered from his stay at furbabies, I ASKEd up front if they could take care of a diabetic dog and talked to several people several times before i scheduled the stay. THEY ARE ALSO RIGHT next door to his vet, at Creekside, AND I TRUSTED THEM TO take care of him, they said they could and i believed them.BUT NO ONE THERE IS qualified, to look after a dog with a medical issue, and that release you sign releases them from all claims except GROSS NEGLIGENCE, which is intentionally harm, SO EVEN THROUGH they do not have a clue how to care for a DIABETIC dog, they still took my TUXEDO and he died and NEVER came out of the COMA he went into at furbabies on the AUgust the 8th, 2017.,, taking care of a diabetic dog, is more than giving them a shot twice a day, it is about MAKING SURE THEY EAT, how much water they drink, too much or too little and knowing the SIGNS of LOW BLOOD sugar, which he was showing that morning when they took him out to the bathroom, HE PROBABLY could barely stand or walk as he would have had no energy from his blood sugar already being low. IF THEY HAD JUST MADE SURE he ate that last morning BEFORE giving him the insulin shot that lowered his BLOOD SUGAR to 15. and put him into a diabetic coma which he never came out of , and a diabetic dog is similar to a human diabetic , and he even took Novolin N.and used syringes from Walmart that i got from the pharmacy, which are used by diabetic peoplethe staff at furbabies are unskilled, in caring for any dog with a medical issue in my opinion untrained and inept to be taking care of a dog with medical issues, and those of you who do not believe anything could happen like this at furbabies, JUST WAIT until it is your little dog, who you have had since he was 6 weeks old and you are the one he knows is going to take care of him. and THEN THIS happens. and no one there even thinks they DID ANY THING wrong , and do not think they are responsible in any way. FOR MY TUXEDO , who was carried out of there by the manager in a COMA, and never walked out of this place again. and yes it can happen to your animal and once again they will not think they are to blame for anything that happened.

I couldn't give zero stars or I would have. We have taken our dog Marigold to this facility for the past 2 years. We trusted them to keep her for doggy daycare, boarding while we were out of town and grooming services. The last time we took Marigold for doggy daycare and a bath and nail trim-she came home terrified and acting like a completely different dog with her tail tucked between her legs and a puncture wound on her side. She is normally happy-go-lucky and gets along with everyone and every other dog. She has never had an issue. When I called Diggs for Dogs to see what had happened I was told by the manager that when cutting her nails she had a "full-on panic attack." No one told me ANYTHING when I picked her up and the girl at the front desk wasn't even sure whether she had had her nails cut or not. We, of course, took her to the vet and they could tell she had been traumatized and were unsure of how exactly she received the puncture wound. I got in touch with the owner and while he was apologetic he could offer no explanation as to what happened and could only apologize for the complete lack of communication. He told me that he as going to take it upon himself to research and figure out exactly what happened to Marigold. I spoke with him over one week ago and have yet to hear back. I was not offered to financial reimbursement for her horrendous stay, vet bills, etc. Recently Marigold has growled and snapped at my 11 month old baby boy who she used to be completely tolerant of. We are beyond heartbroken about the entire situation and feel that this establishment needs more training in dealing with dogs and the public. Marigold will never return (obviously) and I urge you to think twice before sending a beloved member of your famil.
Gilda and Chuck are amazing animal lovers and take such good care of Chocolate Chip when he is there. He loves Briarwood Kennels and we love that he has a "home away from home" when we travel. This is a wonderful kennel and we love that CC gets a nice little bath before he returns home to us.
Terrible place to board your dogs! Owner is rude and hateful. Not loving or kind to your dogs. One of my dogs is a beagle/American bulldog mix. She looks like and has mannerisms of a beagle while colored like a bulldog. He said she was a pit bull-what? He calls himself an expert-not! Doesn't know his breeds and doesn't know how to care for dogs.
