Wigs Etc Hair To Go
1600 N Main St, High Point, NC 27262
I have purchased 3 wigs from Linda. She is a bit unique but knows her stuff and has been very helpful every time I have been to the store. I am in the market for a new wig and will absolutely go back to her. She helped me find a style and color that worked for me. I get compliments daily and I always tell them to go to her!
I went to this store after getting a hair cut that is awful. Having to attend an formal event soon,I thought I would go by and just try some on. I returned the next day explaining how I was rushed into buying a wig and really did not feel that the wig met my needs (color & amount of hair, and not even real hair). She turned away from me and said, "I can't believe she trying to return the wig.. I went back today asking her to please return the wig. She 'claimed' that there would be germs in the wig now. Her entire collection of wigs are most likely full of germs, too--front door was wide open today( with a cool, rainy day. And most likely pollen on the wigs, too. She said to me to "GET YOUR STUFF AND GET OUT OF HERE" Never-ever have I been treated this way before. I would never tell any friends to go in there.
I have purchased 3 wigs so far from Wigs Etc. Each time, Linda was very helpful. Her knowledge of wigs, hair styles that complement your face shape and your particular life style are extremely helpful. I never feel rushed and she patiently shares her opinion which I respect. Today was my third purchase and I plan to continue buying wigs from her. Highly recommend.
I would give a negative star if this was an option. I walked through the door of the establishment to be met with a voice from afar "Can I help you"? I nicely told the lady that I was just looking right now but thank you. As I walked through admiring the wigs the lady then said with a very abrupt, much louder, and rude "Can I help you ma'am"? I once again told her that I was looking and smiled at her. She rolled her eyes at me and then told me that I was in a "private area"......Open area, Wigs were in this area and around the wall with no posting of private area or indication that it was off limits. I quickly apologized and stated that I wasn't aware that the area was private and there should probably be a sign to indicate. She replied with "Uh -huh". Very rude!!!! I told the lady that she wouldn't have to worry about me returning and I asked her if she treated all of her customers like this. Her response "Uh-huh"!!!! Wow!!!! I was floored with the behavior of this woman. I was in the store for a total of 5 minutes and quickly realized that this would be my one and only trip within those doors. I will keep my word to her and never return to this establishment again and will not refer family/friends to an establishment who treats and dismisses consumers in such a way. There is normally a good reason that people are looking for wigs and I would hate for someone to walk in there going through a medical situation who needs this hair only to be treated as such.
If I were you I would absolutely not wast my money. The wigs do not last long and the lady charges an arm and a leg. I going real hair wigs for a third the coast. The lady who owns the place is extremely rude. Treated my grandmother like she was dumb because she was asking questions about wigs. This is not a comfortable thing to discuss sometimes and the lady made it even more uncomfortable. Save you money and get better quality for way less money.
I purchase my wigs at this wonderful wig shop and am most especially pleased with everything about it. Linda, the owner, has always been most helpful to me whenever I visit her store and has long-since become one of my favorite people in the Triad area. I cannot say enough when it comes to my expressing what a wonderful experience it is for me to do business with her!!! Those people below who have registered their negative comments must not only be unhappy with most everything that they do in life, but they also clearly demonstrate how unhappy they must be with themselves, as well. Too bad that they don't just stay at home and stop stinking up the business neighborhood with their nasty outlooks, and that is for sure. Signed, Donna G.
After driving all over Greensboro and Winston Salem looking at Wigs and trying to find some little hole in the wall stores I listened to my friend from High Point and thats where I ended up buying not one but two beautiful Wigs. The store name is "WigsEtc-HairToGo", I asked the owner Linda why her website name was Wigs2Go.net and she said the store name said it all and the web name was short and easy to remember. She has a brand new store on North Main Street and now I know where to go for Wigs and everything else.
