Patterson Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

I took my daughter(who was 13 at the time) to this office in November 2018 to have her wisdom teeth removed, 2 needed to be pulled and the other 2 had to be cut out due to them being impacted.First, the wait time was horrible, her appointment was at 8:30, my daughter didn't get called back until 1:00, with no explanation. After about 15 minutes I stepped outside just to get a breather. As I walked back in I could hear my daughter screaming to the top of her lungs. Of course it scared me. I went to the window to ask the receptionist what is going on, because by this time my daughter was the only patient in the office. She had a puzzled look on her face...she said she was going in the back to check on her, in the mean time someone turned the music up to drown out my daughter's crying and screaming!!! I literary started to cry myself because I have no idea what was going on and no one was coming out to speak with me. So I called my Mother and told her what was going on and immediately she drove from Thomasville to sit and comfort me. Shortly after my Mother arrived the nurse told me to drive around to the back to pick my daughter up. Never once did Dr. Patterson come out to explained what she did to my daughter and how the procedure went. I was livid about the entire situation. I asked my daughter what was going on and she began to cry again telling me that as Dr. Patterson was cutting out her wisdom teeth she could feel it and it was hurting very bad, she said the Dr. told her it was pressure and to stop screaming and crying, (with an attitude because she was aggravated with my 13 year old child) as she proceeded to turn the music up! Needless to say I was one very angry Mother, I feel like I failed my daughter because I didn't protect her from this Monster!!! I do not recommend taking NO ONE TO THIS LADY!!! Trust me this is an understatement!!!!

I saw Dr. Patterson for a sinus lift & two wisdom teeth extractions. She was very good at explaining procedures and what to expect both before & after surgery. I was extremely anxious prior to surgery so she put me at ease with valium & laughing gas. I was out during surgery and surprised afterward how little pain I felt. Staff was quick and efficient. Can't say enough about how happy I am about my whole experience and the outcome I experienced. Would highly recommend Dr. Patterson!

Dr. Patterson told me before I went under that she would only be removing my top 2 wisdom teeth. When I woke up, she had removed all 4. I still do not know why. Before my procedure, I was told I would be prescribed antibiotics and receive a follow-up call. I didn't; I had to go to the Emergency Room to get an antibiotic prescription. I called the after hours line 4 times and left 4 messages, because I was having a severe reaction to the anesthesia when I got home from the surgery. No one called me back until the following night. Then around a week later I was afraid I had dry sockets. I called the office and left a message, no reply. I called the after hours line and left a message, no reply. I wish I could rate less than 1 star because it has been a terrible experience.

20 minutes late opening doors after lunch. We had an appt. We were told we would receive a follow up call. We did not. We called the on call number and no one called us back. Totally unprofessional.
