After getting my hair cut at t...

After getting my hair cut at this Great Clips for several years, I've now cut them.

Their price for hair cuts is reasonable, but I'll never go back.

They've recently added a system whereby you can "check-in" online and then drive to the shop. Sounds great, doesn't it? Well it's not so great if you're already there waiting your turn. Supposedly, it's first-come, first-served based on when you check-in.

However, if you're in line waiting to check in and someone checks-in online, you're behind them. Don't expect the cutters to have the common courtesy to tell you that someone is ahead of you. The first you'll know of it is when she calls the name of someone who arrived 10-15 minutes after you did.

I wouldn't have minded it, if I had been told when I checked-in that someone was ahead of me because s/he had checked-in online. However, when the other person showed up, the cutter scheduled to cut my hair greeted the other person and asked him to have a seat. She then went back to her current customer and laughed and chatted with him for another 10-15 minutes.

Then, after collecting his money, she called the next person -- not me, even though it was just me and the man who had arrived 10 minutes after I did. She then laughed and said I'd just have to wait because he'd checked-in online.

So I waited another 22 minutes while she laughed and flirted with him. If she'd had the common courtesy to tell me when I arrived that there was someone ahead of me, I would have returned to my car, gotten the book (I always have one with me) and spent the time reading.

I most definitely don't mind that they have online check-in, but shouldn't they tell you when you arrive that there is someone ahead of you?

I've always made it a point to tip well, in appreciation for a job well done. This case, the cutter who cut my hair for several years is NEVER getting money from me again. I should go back just one more time and tip her the 1 cent she deserves!
