Cox Brothers Auto Salvage

I purchased a Honda V-6 ngine from Cox Brothers in June 2016. It was advertised as a low mileage good engine. After installing it in the car it had an audible knock and visible smoke. It also had signs of sludge inside the engine meaning it had more miles than advertised or extreme neglect. I contacted them for a replacement engine or a refund. They refused since it had been more than 30 days even though it has only been in the car for 2 weeks. I even said I would record a video of it running or drive the car to their business to prove it was a bad engine. They still refused any type of help with the obviously bad engine they sold me. I can understand they wouldn't refund the labor but they still refused to stand behind the bad engine. I asked them if they heard their engines run before taking them out of the salvage vehicle and he stated that they listen to "most" of them. It's pretty obvious they didn't hear this one run and if they did it was flagrantly misrepresenred. Please use extreme caution when dealing with this business and if at all possible find another more reputable business with which to patronize. I was really surprised when they refused to do anything at alll to help me. Now I have a nice car with a bad engine that may not last much longer.
