I've been going to Aladin for two years and have never encountered a problem either with the staff or their meat. The place is clean and I can trust that the meat is humanely raised. I always order chicken breasts from the butcher, and they are consistently fresh. I would recommend them.
I Syed Kamran Hussain placed an order for 100 boxes of 2 piece fried chicken boxes with each box containing a leg piece and a thigh piece. After long conversation with Mr. Gul [Cell # (917) 299-5806] I placed the order at a discounted rate of $2.40 (retail price $3.99). I arrived today, Oct 10th, 2016 to pick up the consignment and Mr. Gul said that in some boxes there were small pieces and they have compensated by adding a 3rd piece to the box. When I was going through about half of the boxes I did not see any box with a 3rd piece. To be exact, we opened 46/100 of the boxes. Maybe the 3rd piece were in the other boxes that we did not directly come across. But what I did see were boxes with 2 small leg pieces. I saw boxes without the thigh piece in it. This was a breach of our agreement as each box was supposed to have one leg piece and one thigh piece. Anyway I understand hard work goes into doing any task and was not going to make an issue out of it, but I just did want to bring it to Mr. Gul's attention.I went back this evening (same day) to purchase 10 more boxes (because we ran short during the day.) Mr. Gul said that you will no longer receive it at the discounted rate. I said that is not a problem but I do want you to know that I was not satisfied with the delivery that I received today. Mr. Gul promptly said "I don't care" if you are satifsfied or not. He kept his back towards us and really could not care that we left his shop infuriated. I feel very sad to have to write this but feel it is very important to make sure that people are aware of the bitter customer service that we received today from Mr. Gul of Aladdin Meat Shop in Hicksville, long Island NY 11801.
