Sadly disappointed by my appointment at Portrait Innovation in Hickory NC. Staff was not very good with children and nor very creative. The package is severely limited, only one photo choice. . So all pics are the same. Learning experience, I will not be back.
I wish I could give this place 0 stars but am forced to give 1My wife went there today (6/25/2013) to take my 2 young sons to get their pics made, my wife informed the girl there that she ONLY wanted 1 portrait, not a package, the girl said ok. The girl then wanted to take over a hundred pics, my wife said NO, we want 1 and they proceeded. My infant son became irrate because this was taking so long. My wife tried to tell her to hurry things along and again (for the 10th time) that we only wanted 1pic, not a collage, not a package, just 1 but the girl kept on pushing more pics and tried to make my wife feel guilty for not doing more pics (that's a ploy they use, we've been here before). So after so many pictures taken my wife so ok that's all you need, the girl then stated that she needs more. My wife explained that my sons were ready to go and my infant hit his head in the process so he wasn't happy at all. The girl kept on with her sales pitch, my wife had to repeat herself at least a dozen more times. Only when my wife said she was walking out did the girl speed things along and let my wife pick the 1 portrait she wanted. You would think a business that deals with children and families with children would be more accommodating but instead they focus on sales. I understand business as I am a small business owner myself but there is a thing called CUSTOMER SERVICE that has to be applied. Evidently this location needs either 1. A new manager or 2. Their employees re-trained on customer service or both. WE WILL NEVER USE THIS LOCATION AGAIN. It's a good thing I wasn't there today because I don't put up with this bulls*it, my advice to anyone receiving poor service here is to call their headquarters at 704-499-9359
