From salesperson to the sales and finance manager it is an overall classy dealership that respectfully tries to gain your business. I would send my Grandmother to Cloninger Ford.I recently had an minor accident where I hit a curb and the service department took great care of my vehicle and provided me a nice loaner. A+ service department as well.
i had my car repaired in the collision center, the work was amazing and the customer service was outstanding. they're customer pricing is also very fair for the excellent work they do.
It all started with a Facebook post.........I've never been so eager to write a review before. I've had the worst experience of all my 41 years of living.Discount Cars of Hickory, 526 Highway 70 SE, Hickory NCOn Friday, February 3rd, I went to this dealership because they posted on Facebook they could file your taxes and use your refund for your down payment. They completed my taxes and told me to pick out a vehicle. I test drove a 2006 Acura TSX 133,000 miles. The vehicle drove fine but had a loud noise coming from the muffler. The Sales Manager said everything was fine and the vehicle had special pipes. Sales price $12,110 and after my $1500 down payment the balance was $11,455.I drove back to Charlotte with the vehicle Friday night. The entire weekend I could not take the noise from the muffler. I decided to go get the vehicle checked out today. The muffler had a hole in it. The vehicle was appraised for $6300. I decided to take it back to Discount Cars of Hickory after the car cut off three times throughout the day.When I arrived to the dealership the very pleasant Manager basically told me that they did my taxes wrong and the new amount $586 would not be enough to put me into another vehicle, give us the keys, find a ride back to Charlotte NC and have a nice day!So after a $10 cab ride to McDonald's to wait on my ride for an hour, I have learned a great lesson dealing with Discount Cars of Hickory NC.
My mom bought her car from here and I've bought two cars myself from Mike Johnson's Toyota. My most recent was a Used Car i bought for my wife. A little over a month after purchase, a tire separated, with all 3 of my kids in the car! A defect for sure, thing is, they didn't put the tires on the car, the previous owner did... Still... They replaced all 4 tires JUST in case. This dealership has worked with me and around me in order to keep me on the road, within budget, and safe. Justin Johnson is a great sales manager and the two service people you should talk to are Tanner and Cynthia. These two people are very easy to talk to and it's obvious they care about every situation or problem you might have. 3 cars, 3 different stories of countless little things they've done, that they didn't have to do. I'd tell anyone looking to buy or service a car to come here. I've been to Toyota dealers in Statesville and Concord thinking the level would be the same, only to learn it was a far reach from MJT. Go buy one for yourself or go grab some free popcorn and soda and let these guys take care of your service needs. Thanks Tanner and Cynthia, for taking care of me everytime I come in. :)
Contacted my go to guy Steven Gouge for my regular servicing appointment. As alway, he was way ahead of the curve and had me set up in no time with the time that was most convenient to my schedule. First rate service is the norm there and first rate people make this an enjoyable experience. He also ran a check on my air bag recall and with in two days my passenger side air bag was there and he scheduled that too which was completed within an hour. Hendrick Honda will always have me as a customer...Steven Gouge will always be my go to guy. Thanks Steven !!
Simply a lying business. Fake TV ads. Outrageous prices and interest rates. Salespeople sit begin desk and do nothing. Avoid at all costs

Worst dealership ever. I bought a brand new 2015 Jeep Wrangler from these people and I drove it home and saw that there was a hole in the soft top. I emailed them all info from pics of hole, mileage and vin everything they requested in less then 24 hours after I bought it and was told I would be taken care of. Well that was a lie it took me 2 emails everytime to just get one they never kept me up to date on the process unless I was bugging them. It has been 2 months and I still do not have this resolved and am actually having to go through another dealership to get something done. Not to mention when I took it to the tire shop they pointed out that one of the tires that they put on the car had an impact bubble on it and could blow out at anytime and needed to be replaced. Utterly astonished at how terrible an experience and much of a nightmare this has been. Never buy from these people they care nothing about you after you leave the lot. Worst part is I am a youth pastor and was stoked when I first bought this car to see a bible card and cross in the car from Steve white motors but then to see that they do not show those values was probably the biggest let down of the whole deal.
