First and foremost, my husband and I would like to thank the executive director Suzan and all the staff for providing a safe, nurturing and positive environment for my son. Suzan is very compassionate, hands-on and she knows every single child in the center. The teacher-child ratio is very low with no turnover rate. Play and Learn is an established "Non-profit" high quality child center that focuses on the best possible care. Our 5-year-old special needs son experienced poor nutrition at a previous franchise "Brand-name" daycare in Chantilly that was over-priced, shiny new building with high child-teacher ratio, and required expensive uniforms. What children eat is just as important as them receiving proper nurturing and love. Play and Learn offers both non-vegetarian and vegetarian healthy hearty meals daily and the staff makes sure no child goes hungry. We are happy to announce that our son gained total of 3.5 pounds while he was enrolled in Play N Learn in 11 weeks. This center is clean, sanitary and practices consistent hand washing. We know that our child is well loved, happy and greets us with a smile during pick up time. Our speech-delayed son is talking more than ever when he comes home and tells what he did on that day. Play and Learn has been a Godsend for my son. He is loved, happy, healthy and thriving! When choosing a child care center, keep in mind that your child may spend more time at daycare than any other place in the world during the most important developmental times of his or her life. Please choose wisely and be willing to research a bit more for the care that is substantially better.

In Northern Virginia, a word of mouth is very powerful when it comes to a child care that is high quality. I know when I drop my son off at Goddard school he literally is in the most caring and gracious hands I could ever trust him to. It's the amazing leadership and caring staff that makes this school great. They have been supportive in treating my special needs child with the utmost care, and helping him streamline with other kids. I highly recommend Goddard School.
St. Timothy's Pre-School is the best bang for your buck in the area. Easily a third the price of other preschools, St. Tim's still delivers quality education in a loving and fun environment. We are enrolling our son for his second year, and he just finished Summer Camp here. We also plan to enroll our younger son when he is old enough. We love the teachers. They communicate well and work hard to prepare the students for kindergarten. The classes are structured, so that the students have a main teacher with her assistant, but they get to interact with all the teachers and students as they spend time in all the classrooms at some point in the day. My son really took to this. Also, being able to drop off and pick up using their "carpool" technique is super convenient. I love not having to get out in order to pick up or drop off my preschooler. It is a real luxury at times. St. Tim's sits on a large landscaped campus and is very conveniently located close to Fairfax Co. Prkwy.
Our family feels very fortunate to have found Miss Peggy's Preschool! Peggy is a consistent, compassionate, organized, and creative educator who brings out the best in our child. The small class sizes lend well to the individualized attention each preschooler needs to thrive. Peggy focuses on fostering age appropriate independence and responsibility in each child. Our child has attended the morning, afternoon, and summer day camps at Miss Peggy's Preschool, and we have beyond satisfied with the level of care and education provided on a daily basis. Thank you Miss Peggy!
Miss Peggy’s Preschool is a fantastic place for my children. My daughter went there for 3 school years and 5 years of Summer Camp. My son is completing his 3rd year there now and is looking forward to his 3rd year of Camp. The teacher gets the perfect balance between play and learning in a warm, caring, safe environment. Her small class size and benefits of a home-based preschool cannot be matched by larger institutions for consistency and flexibility. I love how the children play outside most days and she backs up to park land. My kids look forward to every class and Summer Day Camp with the friends they have made there. This preschool is a gem in our area!
Great experience here. The directors are great people and knowledgable when it comes to children's growth and development. They are all empathetic, compassionate, and hard working. My son just started kindergarten and that's the only reason we left. We were so sad to go because of how much our family and son loved it there. I will always be grateful for everything this lovely place had to offer.
