I just got a membership to South Beach Tan two days ago. I have not been to the tanning bed in quite sometime and I have to say that this is now going to change. The very first day I went in there, Gail, the owner helped me with everything! She is so sweet and kind. She helped me pick out the best lotion for my skin type got me the best eye wear and showed me all the ins and outs of the whole tanning process. She really went out of her way to ensure that my experience was the best! You always feel so welcomed when you come in and the place is really clean unlike some other places that I have been to in the past. Not to mention that the beds are great. Like I said before I have only been going for two days now in a standard level bed and I am already starting to see color. This is the best tanning place to go to by far. I recommend it to everyone. This will be the only place that I will ever tan. Gail is the best!!!!

I just joined South Beach Tan and so far it's been great! The salon is very clean and Gail the owner, is very kind! She always heats the bed for me when I come if they haven't been used so they won't be cold! She always tries to give helpful tips and really wants you to get the best out your tanning experience. I will continue to tan here in the future :)
I just joined South Beach Tan yesterday. ( 5-16-2013 ). Today was my second day of tanning. I must say that I am very impressed with the how amazing the staff is!! They all made me feel so welcome when I first stepped in the door yesterday. Gail is a absolute sweetheart!! I was very impressed with how clean the place is and also how awesome the beds are!! I have not had to wait long at all before I get a bed. I also think that the prices are very fair!! I have only tanned for 2 days so far and I can already tell a difference. I would recommend South Beach Tan to anyone and everyone!! It's just a wonderful atmosphere all the way around!! I love it and I plan on staying with them for a very long time!! I've been going here for a year and a half solely because of the convenience of being on my way home from the gym. It's reasonably priced, especially if you purchase minutes, and the girls who work here are generally friendly but the owner, who works pretty frequently, just makes me want to cringe every time I'm in there for fear of the inevitable confrontation I'll have with her. Put simply, she thinks she knows better than you do about your individual tanning experience and will make the executive decision for you. When I first started coming here, she said my lotion must be really old (I had purchased it within the past 3 months) and insisted it must be a discontinued brand because she had never heard of it. Only when she opened the catalog to see it did indeed exist did she drop it, at which point she decided my goggles must be really old because they're not the same ones they carry. Most recently, after sending someone to inform me that there were new bulbs in the bed while I was already in the room, preparing to actually enter the bed, and getting my OK to go my usual full time since I had been quite frequently that past three weeks, she decided to cut back my time for me anyway. I had noted the seemingly short time after I got out and asked her why she had modified my time and at first, she insisted it was because I had never been in a bed with brand new bulbs (in a year and a half... really...) but then, stated she wasn't letting anyone go full time and so she shortened my time. To end the conversation, she simply said "Byeeee" while she continued her cell phone conversation which, of course, is more important than a customer's satisfaction.I really hate to write poor reviews, which is why I have put this one off for so long, but I just want to share my experience(s) regarding truly poor customer service. I wouldn't recommend this business unless you want your mother moderating and bullying your tanning experience.
