Sutherland Insurance Company has been meeting the insurance needs of the residents of Henderson County and western North Carolina for over 75 years. Founded in 1938 by Edward R. Sutherland, the company has a long history of personal and dedicated service. In the late 1940’s Edward Sutherland’s brother, Marvin Sutherland, assumed management of the agency. He remained until the early 1980’s when the current owner, J. Edward Jones, took over operations. Through many years of professional and experienced management, the company has developed a reputation of having a friendly, well-trained, knowledgeable staff who are available to aid clients with insurance decisions.
