run down, trash left around. tacky continual yard sale. kids run amok. management seems to cater to drug addicts an homeless.
Absolute nightmare. It started with letters about weeds, and progressed to "Paint the Home. You have 5 days to comply or be evicted". They are always evicting people, and seizing the home. Office is hard to reach by phone. Rent is always going up. There is crime in the community. I had a lot of stuff stolen. Some homes are in terrible disrepair, like the one behind me that had many broken windows and a hazardous structure in the backyard, and management did nothing. "We gifted them the home". "Well, why do they get away with a teardown and I have to paint a perfectly decent structure?". "That's the way it is, Joe". Burn in Hell, Villa Hermosa.I did actually sell the place to a dealer, who intended to move it off the property. I got a call from management, after they got wind that I had sold, asking if I had already accepted any money, which I had. Eventually, management paid the taxes under my name, long after they had purchased the title from the dealer who bought it from me. It cost them way more than if they had come forward in the beginning, and offered me a reasonable sum. They wanted my house, free. When they weren't going to succeed, they tried to interfere with the sale. Bad people. Their crooked shill, Dale (realtor for the community), only changed ownership with Mfr. Housing and paid the County after I threatened to get a new copy of the title, which would have still been in my name. The new owners were moved in for several months when I discovered that I was still listed as the owner with Mfr Housing, and the County Assessor, with the tax bill going to the Villa Hermosa MHP/OFFICE, all in my name. I just happened to look up the property on the County Assessor's website, or it probably would never have been done. Dale is a sloppy, dishonest realtor. Technically, they sold a property to which the ownership had not been transferred to the seller. They avoided the fees associated with change of ownership by keeping the property in my name, and falsely representing me as the current owner, long after I had been paid and signed over the title. I can just imagine the lie management came up with to pay my taxes for me, and then have my address changed with the County Assessor to the office address, in my name. I never gave power of attorney to the handling of my affairs or property, but when you are dealing with people who use and manipulate the law to increase their gains, I suppose that's small potatoes. I found out too late what it can be like dealing with people who's basic composition is so fundamentally opposed to honesty. Manufactured housing is unlike any other rental, because the renters have no rights, and Villa Hermosa takes full advantage of whatever legal maneuvering will result in a profitable eviction.
