- Owners, Allen and Elana Silberstein, have been passionate pet owners since their childhood. Alan's brother found an old Doberman, which his family accepted into their home and nursed back to health. It turned out that Pontie, the Doberman, was a retired police dog whose adopting owners had mistreated. Pontie would lie in front of Alan's stroller and guard him as a child. Throughout our lives, my wife and I have had dogs, cats, a rabbit, and I even had a young baboon, which I had to give away. When our daughter was born, our Chow Chow, who we adopted from the pound, would lie under her crib and not allow strangers to get close. Our Maltese crossed with a poodle, which we also adopted from the pound, was a loved member of our family for 17 years. We presently have three dogs that we love and cherish. We are here to help you through this difficult time, and will treat you and you pets with the care and respect that is deserved.

- Choosing cremation is a way to honor your pet and keep them close long after they have passed on. You can choose to have a special remembrance or farewell service in our Memorial Room. We can arrange to pick up your pet from your home or from your veterinarian, in our specially prepared Hearse. At Compassionate Pet Cremation, we respect your pet's dignity by treating them with care and compassion, before, during, and after cremation. You will be provided with a special plaque, a unique tribute honoring your pet, along with a simple urn for their ashes. Should you decide to honor your pet with a distinctive urn, we have a large selection on hand that you can select from. You can view our selection on our web site. We can also special order additional items to help you remember your beloved pet.

Provided by Citysearch -I just want to thank Allen at Compassionate Pet Cremation for his ""compassion"" towards our situation... Our 11 year old girl (Cleo) passed away on 11/19 and we did not kow what to do. Allen kindly walked us through the process making it as comfortable as he could knowing what we were going through. As someone else mentioned... I hope you don't need his services anytime soon but when you do... I would call Compassionate Pet Cremation.
Also, another thing to note is that I have talked to others who have had pets cremated and said it took a week or more to get the ashes of their pets but Cleo passed on a Saturday and Allen had the ashes ready for us on the following Monday... it was comforting to not have to wait weeks.

Provided by Citysearch -Losing our 15 year old Chow Chow - has been one of the toughest losses of our lives. She was a family member and the Matriarch of our seven dog family. We lost her in a tragic way and were all devastated. Allen at Compassionate Pet Cremation was the kindest most caring person we came across during this ordeal. He had true compassion and understanding of our situation and took great care in every aspect of the service. I would hope you never have to use a Pet Cremation service but if you do - there is no other place in town I would go other than Compassionate Pet Cremation. Thank you Allen for your kindness and for taking care of our baby.
