My whole life I've worn glasses and for years Nevada Eye Physicians has kept me up to date with the style and fashion trends but most importantly, my vision. I've gone back & forth about having refractive surgery and I'm sure like most patients fear of the unknown was holding me back. I decided to book an appointment with Dr. Surjeet Singh for a LASIK consultation. It was the best decision I've made about my eyes thus far!! Dr. Singh and his staff were very knowledgeable and answered every single question I had. Dr. Singh's confidence spilled over to me and I was no longer afraid. Today is the first day after having surgery. I couldn't be more happier with the results!! I'm walking around my house looking at everything as if it were the first time I'm seeing it! It's such an amazing feeling to be able to see without glasses or contacts!! If anyone has ever thought or is thinking of having refractive surgery I urge you to book a consult with Dr. Singh. You've got nothing to lose but the glasses on your face! Thank you Dr. Singh and the Staff at Nevada Eye Physicians! My whole refractive surgery experience from beginning to end was phenomenal, keep up the great work!
Don't waste your time with this group. Office manager was very unprofessional. I have vision insurance and she insisted on taking my medical insurance information in case my vision insurance "doesn't pay". I told her I didn't want my sensitive medical information passed around with all the data breaches going on. Her attitude was just "oh well"...you can go somewhere else then. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
I first went to Dr. Singh 3 years ago for my cataract surgery. I had been suffering from poor vision for months before that but my eye doctors simply gave me new glasses that didn't work. Well, I'm so glad I went to see Dr. Singh who immediately diagnosed me with cataracts. He said my vision problems were related to cataracts in both eyes. He thoroughly explained my options and after which I decided to have the surgery and that's the best decision I ever made in my life. Thanks to Dr. Singh and staff, I could see 20/20 the next day WITHOUT glasses. I lived my whole life wearing glasses and I finally felt free. He was thorough and kind to me at every appointment. I recently went back to Dr. Singh because my vision got hazy again. As expected, Dr. Singh had an answer and a fix. He did YAG Laser surgery (which took him 30 seconds) and it made me see 20/20 again. His bedside manner is amazing every time. I've seen him more than 10 times. Go see him if you have any eye problems.
This was one of the WORST appointments we have had with medical staff and Drs! SURJEET SINGH, M.D. walked into our room without briefing himself on the chart and thought my husband was the patient. He seemed very irritated be squeezed into his schedule, for a emergency trauma, and showed it with lack of adult and child bedside manner. He was abrupt, rude and careless of our concerns for our 3.5yr old sons eye trauma. He was impatient that a toddler would not "cooperate or sit still" during his exam and proceeded to tell us the worst info about him losing his vision completely as well as surgery. He also felt it relevant to voluntarily point out he "is going on vacation and can't help us." Then referred us to a Peds Dr for the following day, not same day for bleeding & blind eye trauma in a child! That said, we had a Peds follow-up within 2hrs after I personally called and requested it and were told the opposite after one of the most enjoyable exams that our 3.5yr old cooperated with! I will NEVER recommend this Dr or clinic and will be sure our experience is heard & read EVERYWHERE!
I was just reading the reviews and some of them are so very old! Anyone that has been to any of the Nevada Eye & Ear locations in this century will know they have some of best docs and caring staff! Perhaps if you try a Smile, you might get one back! Docs Mom 5/14/2015
Receptionist by the name of "cici" called me a liar and literally lied to my face about what she said in an earlier conversation. Very unprofessional In March 2014 I went to this office for my yearly eye exam. I was given a trial pair of air optic lenses with a -4.75 and -5.00 prescription. After a recheck the doctor changed both my eyes to a -5.00. I was NOT given a correct pair of trials this day. A week later when I picked up my new glasses I asked for a correct trial for the -5.00 prescription and was given on. From this day until the middle of May I wore my glasses the majority of the time and only wore contacts maybe once or twice a week. At the end of May I started to wear my contacts full time when they began to hurt my eyes. I went into the office in the last week of May to see what my options were for a new pair or brand of contacts. At that time the front desk lady named Cici informed me that trial lenses are sometimes made over a year ago so they could have just been a bad pair, or that it may have gotten something on my lenses. She said it was unlikely I'd have a problem with a lens I had been wearing for over a year. So going off her word I purchased a $55 box of contacts to receive them the following Tuesday and find out they still hurt my eyes. It is also important to note that Cici had a very impatient and condescending tone the entire time she spoke with me. On that Thursday I made an appointment to see the doctor for Friday May 30th. It was at this time that I saw the doctor and he prescribed me an allergy drop and asked me to come back in a week for a recheck. I was checked out by a younger girl and paid $74 for an office visit. At that time I asked if I would also have to pay another $74 the following week for this same issue and she said "yes, probably." This made me very unhappy because I have gone to many eye doctors and never been charged for a 1 week recheck. This morning 6/05/14 I was called by Cici to confirm my appointment for tomorrow 06/06/14. At that time I asked again if I would have to pay $74 for this same issue. Her exact response was "yes you will because your insurance does not cover an office visit." Which, again upset me because I am seeing him as a continuation of my last appointment. Following this phone call I expressed myself on my private Facebook account. At 5pm I got a phone call from Cici stating that the dr was aware of my Facebook post and that the information I provided to Facebook was false. She said that when she called me that morning she in fact did NOT say I would have to pay, but that it was at the doctors discretion. When I tried to disagree with her, because that is absolutely NOT what she said, she would talk over the top of me and not let me get a word out. She said that I was lying and that "I didn't know for sure he was going to charge me" even though she confirmed in the AM that I would be charged. I did get angry on this phone call and raised my voice, but I was very upset I was being called a liar. I know what I was told. It is absolutely unprofessional for a business to call and confront someone about something posted on social media and furthermore to call that person a liar. If this was an issue that the doctor wanted to have fixed his staff should not have called me a liar because it has only further complicated the issue. I don't appreciate the way I was treated by Dr. Lochner's staff at all. I hope that by filing this complaint I will prevent anyone else in the future being treated so disrespectfully by a place that's supposed to be a caring and trusting environment.
Had a multitude of sub-par experiences here. I can attest to the earlier review of being upsold to, a general impression of disinterest from the doctor, as well as long wait times in the office. I went in for a contact lenses in the Spring/Summer of 2013, and as someone with astigmatism, I was upsold into a hard/soft hybrid contact lens that was new to the market and would supposedly "revolutionize" my near-sighted vision correction. Before I detail that, let me take a moment to discuss the "bedside manner" of Doctor Mancuso, which is to say that it's particularly poor. I did not feel that he was invested or interested in hearing about my eye health, and worse, he seemed to feel the need to use my eyes as his practice dummy to remove the hybrid contacts (which he wasn't very familiar with) and scratched them pretty heavily in the process. His solution to this was "pain go buh-bye" eyedrops (his words, not mine)... needless to say, in addition to the scratched eye, I didn't enjoy his speaking to me like I was a 6-year old either.Back to the hybrid lenses: Fast forward to several follow up appointments and refittings and one miserable summer of never being arms reach away from very expensive eye lubricating drops and where it seemed that I'd never be a contact wearer again. After finally just having enough of the dry, painful hybrid lenses I was testing. I returned the lenses to the office and demanded to go back to my old brand of soft lenses. Dr. Mancuso seemed crestfallen (as I think I cost him a commission), he tried his best to let the process continue of refittings and adjustments and held over me that my eyesight wouldn't be nearly as clear with my old soft toric lenses. I insisted, however, and he finally ordered the soft lenses for me to which I've had no further issues with in terms of vision.Fast forward again: Adding insult to injury, last month, I called requesting a re-up on my 6-month contact supply and was told they would take 7-10 days and that I would be called when the order arrived. I was even invited to pay for them via phone, but I declined, saying I'd do so in person. After 3 weeks without a call from the office to confirm their arrival, I called today to be told that no order was placed and that I'd be needed in for a follow up appointment. My prescription had run out and I'd be needed in the office for a new appointment before an order could be placed. No consideration was given for the fact that Doctor Mancuso wasted over 3 months of my time with the hybrid lenses that he was ill-equipped to sell, service, or do fittings on. It's been well under a year since I ordered the soft lenses, and that he's not able to put in a reorder in given the circumstances is insulting. The level of passive-aggressive customer service among his staff in the office to not call me after telling me order was being placed is nearly worse. There are a lot of eye doctors to choose from in Las Vegas. I'll never go to this one again. Do yourself a favor and do the same.
