Had a pleasant experience all ER staff including the security were very helpful and courteous. Minimal wait time for triage.

Today i was advised by my PCP and Apple urgent care, for me to go to the Hemet valley medical center Immediately GO to the ER!! do to the pinching pain i have in my lower back and the fact i had loss of feeling in my legs! i still drove myself to the hospital! waited there for three hours and got an x-ray, just for the the ER doctor and head nurse to say to me...there's nothing wrong! with my back bones. i said i'm having nerve pain like a slip disc or ruptured disc??? they gave me prescription! for ibuprofen/Motrin 400mg & discharge papers & that there's no person here in the ER to do an MRI, i was told to leave and call my PCP. i'm still in alot pain! i cant believe they just told me to leave in this condition i'm in..i'm home safe now. Thank God!...no! help from the HVMC!
Dirty, rude staff, -10 stars ! That's MINUS TEN STARS
ER is a horror story. They expect people with a broken leg to walk to sign in desk for blood pressure checks. Rude, no wheelchairs, or beds available.
What a nasty hospital! Gawd, the only one in town. I took my dad there yesterday and was in for a shock. I live in San Diego. We have nice hospitals. This place was dirty, disorganized, obsessed with security to keep drug addicts out, slow with service and overall awful. I have got to get my dad out of Hemet!!! Some of the staff worked hard, most did not. The Dr. looked like a drug addict with 4 day old stubble on his face. Sheriffs there with hand cuffed prisoners. I was scared! They took blood and did tests and would not tell me what they were for. I am sure just to bill insurance and make money. OMG! I have to get Dad out of that nasty town. ugh!!!
77 yo Mother in Law taken by ambulance 3 weeks ago. STILL there. Her meds were never "gone over" and they were giving her Tramadol 3x a day, when she does not take it. She has to have steroids due to no pituitary gland, not given. Had pneumonia and sepsis, urinary tract infection when admitted. Got MRSA ( staph infection in mouth) while there. Has liver failure, ended up in ICU there for days. A doctor there, and a nurse told us if we didn't get her to a "better" hospital she'd die. Case manager and her GP did not think she would benefit from being moved to Loma Linda or UCI...she's still there after THREE weeks. Nurses are so overworked, they are never able to even get a bedpan in time, so they just put continent people in diapers. I was told by CNA, there are no bedpans on this floor. They are all dirty and she went and sat down. The hospitals now have so much charting to do on computer, that we, the family never SEE...it takes all their time and not available to patient or family. Im sure you can get it if you file a request with the Federal Government...and wait four months. The food is cold and not really edible, and I am not picky...it's not clean, there are IVs that are not started for hours when they move patients from room to room to ICU and back again. I will NEVER go there, but I don't live in HEMET. I live in Beaumont and will go on down the I-10 to Loma Linda University Med Center..myself.
First off, let me say "I am a nurse"~I Know what good care is, and what bad care is.I know ER's are busy, and sometimes you have to wait. I know you don't get "cured" there. You need "follow-up" for that. But I do expect to be treated like a human being, who is in severe pain, and needs some appropriate medical help. ... A couple years ago, I broke my nose and face, the care was fine. There was blood allover my face-my problem was hard to "ignore".... Last month, I went in via ambulance, because my knee was locked in one position, and I could not stand at all. ( I have Multiple Sclerosis and knee problems both). I never got a bed. Or a guerney. Or to see a doctor...despite my ignored "demands". Or an MRI because their machine has been "down" for six months. They did vitals-parked me in the lobby. Did xrays parked me in the lobby. Gave me a shot and a pill- parked me in the lobby. Called me back again, and I thought "Oh goo, now, 10 hours later, maybe I will get some care". Nope . "You're discharged, sign here". WTF??? I can't stand or walk, and they send me home alone at ten at night? I can't even stand enough to get on a toilet. And they didn't give a flying *#%$. I demanded to speak with a supervisor, or doctor, and was told "NO-you are discharged". A 90ish old man was cold and shivering-his wife hobbled to the desk and asked for a blanket- she was told "No, we don't have any". NONSENSE! You are a hospital- go get the guy a blanket, or a sheet, or a bunch of towels...A stranger went to his car, and gave the poor old man a jacket. An obviously pregnant lady was afraid she was having a miscarriage. They wouldn't even do her admit paperwork until she could pee in the cup, for a pregnancy test. She couldn't...so they wouldn't take her back ( they could have done a blood pregnancy test). There was a fight in the lobby. There are more security guards than nurses. I heard over and over again "Next time I'm going to Sun City". I'm filing a grieveance with Medi-care. First time ever. I'm not a "complainer"...I'm just a " patient advocate" for decent care.
This hospital has improved beyond recognition. The doctors and nurses are wonderful, my Mom was a patient there and received excellent care. I can honestly say that I recommend this hospital as a good place to be if you are sick. The staff go out of their to be nice, my Mom was very sick and is back home again. Thank you everyone at Hemet medical Center
This is a horrible hospital! The ER is full of drug addicts, gang members and bums. The nurses are inconsiderate of people that are ill, the doctors are curt and don't have time or care enough to explain anything to patient or family. It is dirty, run-down, and lacks compassion and due diligence for patients or their loved ones. If you can possible get to somewhere else-GO! This was a good, caring place back in the 90s, but, just like the city of Hemet, it has become a dumping ground for all the worst vermin and garbage gangs. It breaks my heart that it has become such an awful place now.
